Hi girls, thought I would officially introduce myself. DH is Russ and I'm Pam. We finally got pregnant, then miscarried about 9 weeks later. We had been trying for a little over 5 years...actually were on our last month of clomid before being referred to RE. I had to have a D,C, & E on January 28th since I was not miscarrying naturally. I'm still waiting for AF to arrive. Doctor said that we need to wait until June to start trying again! Ugh!!! Can't wait to get to know everyone!

Welcome, can I ask why your Dr said to wait until June? I had my D&E on Jan 30th and my Doc gave us the okay to TTC already.

Thanks for the warm welcomes girls!!! I'm not really sure why the doctor said we had to wait so long. I was seeing my regular OB/GYN and a high risk doctor because it had taken us so long to get pregnant and I have a bicorneated uterus. My reg ob told us that the high risk doctor would want us to wait 6 months, but he said 4 would be okay. I have really long cycles too (without the clomid I had been taking for 6 months), so I have yet to see AF. This is the first time in my life I am wishing for her to come. Sooooo, I'm not sure if he wanted us to heal physically and emotionally or what. I was pretty disappointed to have to wait for so long, but I don't want to do anything at this point that isn't in our best interest. So, we are trying to use protection again.......we haven't used anything for over 5 years! O' the irony.

Pam, do you mind if I ask what a bicorneated uterus is?

A bicorneated uterus is basically a heart-shaped uterus. The severity of the actual shape varies between people. From what my dr. told me mine isn't too bad, but sometimes it can take longer to conceive when you have one. Complications can arise in pregnancy as well (not enough space for baby to grow, breach position so you may need a c-section, etc.).
