Hi. My name is Janice. I found out on December 1, 2008 that I was pregnant. In November I had had spotting and cramps but I thought it was AF trying to start but AF never showed so I did an HPT on December 1st and it was a BFP. Well that Night I ended up in the ER cause I started bleeding. They put me in the hospital and said it was a possible miscarriage. Well this Dr I have never seen before does a pelvic exam and sends me for a vaginal ultrasound which showed the sac. The Dr sent me home the next day and told me everything was fine. My cervix was closed and there was no more bleeding even though I was wiping blood when I went to the toilet. Well that very next night I ended up in the ER again because I started passing clots. The ER Dr then says I am going to admit you for observation and a possible D&C because you have lost your pregnancy. Well the very same DR that told me everything was okay and sent me home came to the Hospital and saw me again and sent me for another ultrasound and did another Pelvic exam and he told me that everything looked okay and he was sending me home and then he told me that the sac was no longer visible on the Ultrasound. He then told me the only way to tell if I had miscarried was to get an HCG quantitative test once a week and see how my hormones did. Well I had lost faith in this DR so I decided to go to another dr and he told me that he didnt think I had miscarried and that I was too early in my pregnancy for the ultrasound to show so he order a HCG Quatitative test and it came back that my hormone levels were going up so I was very excited. I then kept going to see this Dr and he kept doing the tests and they got up to 598 and I was even more excited and then the last time he sent me for an HCG quant my levels had drastically dropped to 117 and that is when they told me that I had miscarried but I hadnt passed all the tissue and that is why my HCG levels had kept rising. I was very devistated at this point. I came home and cried. I really wanted this baby. We hadnt been trying but when I found out I was pregnant I was very excited because I had been wanting to have another baby for a while but my hubby wasnt ready. Well I later found out that my hubby was going to ask me if I wanted to try for another baby the Day I told him I was pregnant and that hurt my feelings even more because I was already blaming myself for the miscarriage although I hadnt done anthing to make the miscarriage happen. Well now my hubby and I have decided to TTC again. I am now 9DPO and waiting to test to see if I get a BFP.

So sorry for that emotional ride. The story of my miscarriage was pretty similar to that, and I know its harder than you ever think it will be. I am glad you and hubby are feeling ready again. Congratulations and I hope to be hearing of your BFP very soon. If I were you I would already be testing! You have great will power. Good Luck.

Dinah, I have already been testing lol. I have tested probably every day for about a week and a half now. sometimes 2 or 3 times a day. Today I have tested and thought I saw a faint line but after the time limit had passed the line faded to almost nothing so I dont know about it and then I did 2 more of the same brand that did the same thing. They were Save alot cheapie tests so I dont know if they are reliable. I bought some FReR's today and I took one and it came back a BFN but I have not gave up hope. I dont have alot of patience so I will probably test everyday until I get a BFP or AF shows one. I have 7 more tests so I can test for the next 7 days anyway lol. It took me a while to decide if I wanted to TTC again but I finally decided I wanted to. The only thing I worry about is miscarrying again. I dont know if I could handle it again. I look for spotting every time I go to the bathroom. I have one child who is almost 10 and I didnt spot when I got pregnant with her but I did spot with my second pregnancy that ended in Miscarriage so I check everytime I use the restroom to make sure I am not spotting.

Hi Janice! I'm so sorry about your loss, and the saga you had to endure. It’s hard enough with a definitive answer, but being kept on a see-saw is horrible.
Welcome to the board!
Look forward to getting to know you, and hope you get that BFP soon!
second time posting this, JM keeps dropping my posts today!
