I had a D & C a couple of weeks ago and had my follow up with my Dr yesterday. My Dr told us again that after I have a period we can start trying again and that has been what our plan was. But I am so scared that if I get pregnant again I will have another miscarriage. Is this normal to feel like this or does this mean I'm not ready and we should wait awhile? It also doesn't help that 5 friends and 2 cousins are pregnant. It is so hard for me to tell them congrats because I still feel like it should be me and I hate feeling like that but it is so hard for me to be truely happy for them when I am so sad.

Hugs sweetie!!!

I'm so sorry for your loss. Your feelings are completely normal, and the truth is that only you know when it's the right time for you to try again. I'm glad that your Dr. cleared you for TTC, and now you just need to try again when you feel ready. There's no need to rush it. We all fear it happening again, but as my husband said to me after the D&C - we want children, and so we can't let fear stop us from trying. And if there's something wrong, we'll figure it out. We won't have any children if we don't try! Chances are in your favor that it won't, so take as much time as you need, and then get to it!

Sending lots of good thoughts your way.... welcome to the board!

I agree with Kristin! My first loss was my first pregnancy. I remember thinking something was wrong with me. I was soooo sad that I didn't even want to be around my stepdaughter. I kept thinking my dh's ex wife could give him children but I couldn't. It was a horrible thought to have. But 3 months later we were pregnant with Wyatt. And it was scary. I worried all the time. But after having him and holding him in my arms. I would say it was worth all the pain. Good luck to you. I'm sooo sorry for your loss.

Hi I know how you feel I had a d&c 9 weeks ago. I haven't had a normal period yet but sort of had one 2 weeks ago, and Im excited about ttc again but I am very scared of getting pregnant again and having a miscarriage. I know it is statistically unlikely but I know 2 people who have had 2 miscarriages in a row, and many more on here. I almost feel like I am doomed to have another, sort of like a right of passage ya know. I wont be able to stop worrying once i do get pregnant again especially if I start bleeding again. So you are not alone!!

Of course you are scared that is only natural, it's hard to see healthy pregnancies all around us, you will get your BFP and a healthy baby in a matter of time. HUGS!

with everyone!
I’m terrified that when I get pregnant again I will m/c again. Or carry to almost full term and something will happen. My RE has told me he believes what caused my problem is now gone (thanks to him!) and everything should work just fine. But I’m very scared to lose yet another pregnancy.
I’m glad you found us, I hope you stick around! This is a great supportive place.

Welcome aboard!!!

It's definitely normal to feel this way! I'm almost 2 years since my loss and I still believe that I'll miscarry with my next pregnancy!

I'm very sorry for your loss!!!

I've been having the same thoughts lately. My DH even said the same thing to me the other night when we were talking about it. I guess you just have to have faith that it won't happen again.

You should just try when you think the time is right. Will you be scared while you are pregnant? Yes. Will you worry constantly? Every minute of everyday. The best thing you can do is have a great Dr that will let you come in for ultrasounds when you need your mind eased and just do everything that you know to do to have a great pregnancy (eat healthy, excercise, don't drink, etc). Good luck and welcome to the board- you are in great hands with these ladies.

You are absolutely normal for feeling that way. I hope that you start to feel better and get pg as soon as you are ready. It is different for everyone. Welcome to this wonderful board.

I'm so sorry about your baby

I know I'm going to be scared when it's actually time to start TTC our next baby. I think that everyone experiences that fear after a loss, to one extent or another. I don't have any personal experience, but maybe once you can handle that fear is the right time for you to TTC.

Please don't feel bad about not being happy for other people. You'll be able to when you're ready.

*HUGS*
