I have bled 21 days of the last 34 since my miscarriage. I know this many days of bleeding after a miscarriage isnt normal. I merged my chart so you can see because there definately is a problem. I hope the problem is minor though. I called my doctor and set an appointment for next week but has anyone else experienced this amount of bleeding after a m/c?

You could have some retained tissue, I would make sure the Dr knows this. He may want to see you before next week. I really hope it is nothing.

I bled for about two weeks off and on heavy, and then another two weeks spotting, and then another week spotting before AF. They told me that spotting was normal, but heavy blood after 10 days was not. I'm glad you're going to see your Dr. Hopefully it's just your body trying to get back to normal slowly, but as Heather said, it might be retained tissue. I hope they can give you an answer soon! Hugs!

No, I didnt bleed this much but then again I wasnt that far along...I dont know how far along you were. I would definitely see if the dr can see you sooner, there may be some tissue left as someone else mentioned. Im sorry

Thanks ladies. I called my doctors office again but they arent in until the afternoon so I will call them back. I also called to gyno I was referred to after the miscarriage to see if I could get in there but unfortunately he isnt in today. If I cant get in to my GP today I will make an appointment with the gyno for monday morning.

I bled lightly or spotted for 12 days after my miscarriage, but I also spotted for a week before it happened for a total of a18 days! I am so sorry you are still going through this, but I am glad you will see your doctor soon. Keep us posted on how things are going.

I agree it could be retained tissue. In a way, it's kind of good that you're still bleeding, because your body is trying to expell it on it's own, rather than wait for a shot or something else to get rid of it.

I hope you can get in to see any of your docs soon, so they can help you! Maybe you'll need a shot of something (I can't remember the name of it) to help "finish" it off.

I'm sorry it's been this long!!!!

I went to the doctor today and it was good news. The doctor looked at my chart and said that I just had two periods close together. My chart indicated that I had ovulated while I was bleeding about 2 weeks ago and therefore the bleeding I had last week was my regular period just really early (only about 6 days after I ovulated). I am really glad that everything turned out well. I am also glad that I charted my temps the past couple of weeks so I had something to show my doctor. Thank you all for your replies.

I am so sorry, I don't know what you are going through but I wanted to get But I do think you should let your Dr know the extent of the bleeding.
