Hi everyone!! As I had posted earlier, we lost the baby at 12 1/2 weeks, on February 10th, and then a couple of weeks ago I finally got AF!! I know I ovulated before then as I was taking the OPT strips because I was curious to see if I would ovulate and when after the loss... anyhow, I did ovualte and then came AF.. now we are trying again, any day now I should be ovulating.. I am a little confused about the strips though.. I know im sounding like an idiot.. we are BDing as often as we can, and I keep hearing we should only be doing it every 2 days.. I am afraid of missing the eggie if we do this.. should we be doing it every day??? and then once the OPT strip comes back as ovulating, does it mean that day or within a few days.. Im sorry.. I have never used the OPT strips!!! I am 37 and worried about conceiving again.. luckily I have a younger fiance, who is still always ready for the BD!! (of course, he is always ready to do it more than once a day) sorry TMI

We normally dont do it everyday until I am pretty close to O'ing... but it shouldnt be a problem if your DH has no sperm issues that you know of (low sperm count, etc.).

to the sperm issues. As long as he doesn't have any, every day will be fine! And I am sure it will keep him happy! And when you get a pos on the strip, you should O anywhere from 12 to 72 hrs later, depending on the brand and type you use, but the usual window is 12-48 hrs, so keep BDing for a couple of days after the pos!

As long as you DTD every other day you are covering everything. Those little guys can live a lot longer.

And I know what you mean! Age is always a scary factor for me too!

I am 33 dh 34.. Our last BFP was after bd every day (maybe missing one day) 5 days before and 5 days after cd9 to about cd19 so this cycle we started again on cd9... we skipped one day (my grandmoms furneral planing and wake planing, and helping my mom, ect) I was too tired and emotially drained. So we are back to back bd!

When you get a + OPK they say you will then O within 12-48 hours. I have heard that every other day is fine but as long as DH's sperm count is normal, daily BDing is fine as well.

I think like you though and was always afraid I would miss the eggie by BDing every other day. So we make sure we BD about 5 days in a row with O being right in the middle. This worked for us.

Good luck!

My OPK's were always darker in the evening when I was getting ready to O- that seemed to be the most accurate time for me. Also, we BD'ed everynight up to and after the + OPK. I say you can never do it too much!!! Also, FYI, just in case you haven't heard- research shows that a female orgasm is definitely beneficial when trying to concieve!!! Good luck and have fun!!!
