Calling all OPK users.. have a question. This is my first cycle using OPK's. Up to this point I have had no second line. Today I have a faint line. I know the line has to be as dark or darker to have a positive.
The question I have does this mean I am close to ovulation? That I am starting to have the hormone in my system? Or was it just a fluke thing that a second line showed up and the umpteen tests that I have peed on that have NO line, I mean notta!

So does a faint second line mean anything?

With me, once I got a second line, it got progressively darker. There were even times when I was close to a positive that I tested twice in a day so I wouldn't miss it. Yay! You're getting there!
Here's your "O" cheer...
I saw a line
now i see two
I hope they get darker
that's what they need to do
When the test is positive
and I'm going to O
to do the dance
in the bedroom we'll go.

OK...my cheers are really bad. But, hopefully it will work.

Mine always got progressively darker until they turned +!!! It usually took a few days, and after the + they got progressively lighter. Good Luck!!

I dare you to do Kelty's cheer when Dh walks in the room!!! LOL!!!

LOL...... I love the cheer... As for DH, the sad thing is I don't think it would phase with me! He already nows I'm a little crazy! But he loves me that way!!!!!

I was just going to "ditto" heather and kelty....I started serious BDing as soon as I see any line, b/c sometimes you only get 1 more day and then suddenly it's very positive...but it should be at least as dark as the control line if not darker to be a positive OPK.

I'm not sure why, but I always have a light 2nd line daily, then BAM I get a really dark one with no hint its coming!

yea, in the past, this is usually how it's worked for me too. It'll be very light with no hint it's changing and then the next day, extremely dark.

This is why this month really threw me off b/c every day for a week and a half it was the same intensity.

i myself just starting to use these but last month i had two days faint lines one day very dark line and the next day it was lighter and i stopped testing thinking i was done
