so when I finally got pregnant the 1st time we were not active in trying as in no calendars or excessive HPT buying or charts or opks or anything and we got pregnant..so im thinking that thats what we need to do again. So im hanging up the TTC obsessions and im not preventing but im going to not try anymore if that makes sense. what im saying is we are not going to think about it and if it happens it happens if not then later i will think about other options. i just cant take the let down every month and if i dont try and dont get pregnant at least i know we didnt BD on the correct day or whatever so i will still be apart of this group to check on everyone but no more buying hpts or opks or charting...i dont even want to know when i ovulate...now next week i may change my mind..but i must be strong. im not leaving but if you dont see me on here too much thats why.

I think that is a great choice! I have had some friends stress themselves out so much about TTC and then as soon as they stopped "trying" they got pregnant. I think some people can get obsessive at times (not saying you are but I know I feel like I am this cycle) and it makes things worse for them.

Stop trying for a couple months and see what happens. Hopefully you will get your BFP when you least expect it (like next cycle!).

I think that is a great idea. I only wish I was that strong. I think it is my age.. and what I had planned. I was not supposed to be still ttc at this point of my grand plan.

Good luck and bring us that stress free bfp!

That's what I'd like to do, but I know I can't. My mind is completely consumed with getting pregnant and I know I'll still obsess.

It's a great idea though, so I hope it works for you!

I completely understand how you feel. I've though about taking a more laid back approach to TTC. But I'm such a control freak - I've always (and I mean always) tracked my cycles, so my O date will be in the back of my mind no matter what!

Good luck.

The month I didn't temp or stress it out is the month I got pregnant. They stress really does lower your chances of getting pregnant so I think its an excellent idea. I may do the same thing.
