I know this may seem like a silly question.. sorry!! when I m/c I was actually at my 15 week check up.. we went for an ultrasound and they told us the baby's heartbeat had stopped, the baby was 12.5 weeks in the ultrasound, so do I consider losing the baby at 12 weeks, or 15 weeks.. I am sure it would be 12?? just not 100% sure.. thanks girls!!

I think that is up to you, you carried your baby for 15 weeks no matter what happened. That is my opinion, whatever you are most comfortable with is what you should say.
I am so sorry for your loss.

First of all, I am so sorry for your loss. I agree that it's totally up to you. Which ever you feel more comfortable with, or you could just explain it by saying that you miscarried at 12 weeks but carried the baby until 15 weeks.

same situation happened to me. i use the weeks when i actually m/c'd. my baby died around 6 weeks and i actually didn't m/c till 10 weeks. so i use 10 weeks. but that is just me. i figured without technology, we wouldn't even know the baby died at 6 weeks and my body didn't recognize it till 10 weeks.
so so sorry for your loss hun!!!

So sorry for your loss. The same thing happened to me. I was 11 weeks and baby had died at 8 weeks. I count from my d&c as loss date because I had no idea the baby was "gone" and to me I was very pregnant.

I go by the date of my D&C for the first one. The heart stopped around 12 weeks... confirmed by u/s. But I chose to wait for things to happen naturally. I ended up with a d&c anyways...do to retained tissue. For me the pregnancy was over when they did the D&C. Even thought my baby was not alive for those couple weeks it took my body to realize it, I was still carrying her. I still was pregnant and she was still very much a part of me. (I say she but I am not positive it was a girl...but I feel it was) There is no right or wrong answer...just go with what your heart says.
For the other I go by the m/c date. They were natural m/c's.

I go by the date of my m/c, wich was induced with meds and I passed the baby on March 3. I would have been 12 weeks. That's how long I carried my little bean. I also found out at my NT u/s at 11 weeks that there was no hb and baby only measured 8 weeks. So sorry for your loss!

I'm very sorry to hear of your loss!!!!
I agree with the ladies, the day you stopped carrying the baby is the day you lost the baby.

I think that you should use whatever you are most comfortable with. I m/c at 10 weeks, but my baby stopped developing at 6 1/2 weeks. But I was pg for 10 weeks.
I'm sorry for your loss.

I"m so sorry for you loss. I hope you're doing OK. Like many of the women, we went in for an u/s at about 8 wks. The baby no longer had a h/b. The baby measured just over 6 weeks. I waited over 2 wks to miscarry naturally. I use the date that my m/c started (it took longer because I hemorrhaged) as the date on my ticker. But, it is really up to you.

I used te date we lost out heartbeat. On Jan 29th we went in for our ultra sound. And that is when I started my ticker. I didn't have my D/E until the 6th of Feb.

I'm sorry for your loss. I do agree with some of the others. I had the same thing happen, I found out at 12 weeks that my baby had stopped growing at 8 weeks. I tell everyone that I miscarried at 12 weeks because that's how long my baby was inside of me whether it was alive or not.
