OPK and CM not matching up

Okay...I started my OPK's yesterday. I took it around 11:45 a.m. There was a line but not positive. I tried to hold my pee this morning for 4 hours but didn't happen. I thought I would pee my pants I swear...so I tested at 10:00 a.m. Here is some TMI coming...I tested and when I wiped I had the long, clear, extremely stretchy CM with a little spot of blood in it. Shouldn't my test be positive? Should I retest this afternoon?

some women get stretchy cm a week before they O, so i would think your pos opk should be coming any day now!! G/L

Well you could be just about to O. Sometimes I have that type of CM for a couple of days before I get my O pains. I also read somewhere that you should use the OPK after 2pm, so I would retest this afternoon and tomorrow. You might get that +O then. I would BD just in case anyway. LOL Good luck!

I think I am in the same boat as you! I have EWCM and negative OPK's right now! I so want to see that second dark line.... I just want to know I am O this cycle!

I may sound dumb here (maybe this is why DH and I are having troubles ttc) but isn't the +OPK usually a couple of days before ovulation. So maybe that's why you're having EWCM now - b/c you're ovulating right now? Seems like a good time to be doing some BDing though!!!
