Last night DH & I were in the middle of BD'ing when my 9 year old DD almost walked in on us . We don't have a lock on the door, but we always put something heavy against the door, just in case. Thank God! She's been waking up at night since the stomach virus with severe cramps crying and always comes to my bedside complaining. It was kind of funny, but not at the moment. We were having fun and all of a sudden DH jumps up and runs for cover. I'm like WTH? then I realize that someone is trying to open the door. At least she doesn't remember getting up in the night. But that was close!! It's getting harder now that the kids are getting older. What am I going to do when she's 15?

When she is 15 I am sure she will be absolutely terrified of walking in on you and I am sure she will avoid your bedroom like the plague at night! That's too funny!

That is funny and I agree with the door lock to lol. We just recently moved out of our single wide and moved into a double wide. Well while we were at the trailor lot looking for a house we walked into this one that we ended up purchasing and we told the guy we wanted it. Well while DH and the salesman were talking I noticed that our bedroom door didnt have a lock on it. so I told the salesman oh this wont work and he said what I said well we will absolutely have to have a LOck on our bedroom door and the Sales man kinda looked at me funny and I said well you see, we have a 10 year old daughter and the sales man smiled real big and said oh dont worry we can change your door knob out with one that has a lock on it and after I realized that the salesman understood what I was getting at I got embarrased and I know my face had to have turned red. It is a good thing we got a lock cause my daughter sometimes walks in her sleep and she has tried a few times to get in our door when she was sleep walking and not sleep walking lol.

My 10 year old did walk in on us once. We have two doors coming into our bedroom. one used to be blocked by the entertainment center in the living room. Well, we locked the one, but didn't have a lock on the other and didn't even think about it until she was standing in the room with us. Thank goodness it was the middle of the night and we had our light off! She didn't even realize what she walked in on.I'm sure she would have been disgusted if she had. lol

Wow. . .we dont have doors on our rooms. . .I know that sounds weird but my son got in the habit of locking himself in the kids room, then when we took their door off he started doing it in my room so we took our door off. Of course they are 2 and 4 and would have no clue if they walked in. They also have bunk beds that are very squeeky so we can hear when they are getting out of bed. This whole door locking thing was 2 years ago. . maybe I should put the doors back on, he hasn't locked himself in the bathroom and it has a lock. . .hum. Ok way off topic sorry, its been a long night!

LOL yeah at least we always have something heavy against the door, so it's not like she could push it open. But just the fact that she was awake trying to get in and we had to run like chickens to find our clothes and pretend nothing was going on freaks me out. She could have also heard something and I don't think I am ready to deal with all the questions. She just seems too young for that.
