Ok, so I have a question, it just popped in my head and I knew exactly where to ask it. B/C all of my m/c were soo early (before 6 weeks, each time) for those of you who had possible seen your bean at an u/s and were further along - 10, 12, 13 weeks, etc...when you m/c how did you know? Was it via U/s, did you start bleeding? cramping, etc?
I only ask b/c my last m/c I didn't bleed or cramp at all, and my #'s were going up (not like they should), but they were going up, however it was a missed m/c...And, i don't get another u/s for 9 more weeks, so you know i start to worry!
Thanks!!!!

Well I had a doppler and stopped hearing the heartbeat one day, I was 17 weeks. I wouldn't have known any other way.

I had seen the heart beat at 6w4d and all my betas were good. At the next u/s 8w4d, found out baby died at 8w0d. Had no symptoms, no cramping, no bleeding. I was on progesterone so that could be why I had no bleeding. My pg symtoms were getting stronger every day, never had a decrease in them. I hope this helps.

My m/c was at 9w6d. At my 8w appt I remember saying that something wasn't right, I wasn't sick and I didn't feel pregnant anymore. My Dr. just said that I was probably one of the lucky ones. At the beginning of my 9th week I started to spot. I went to the ER on the Thurs am 'cause I had started to bleed. They did an u/s and told me that the baby had stopped developing in the 6th week. I don't know what my numbers were, but I will be more involved the next time around and not as trusting of the Drs.

I had two u/s, one at 7weeks, where they only saw a sac and told me I was only 3 weeks, which was impossible. Then I had my next u/s at 10 weeks, but to them it was 6 weeks, and I still only had a sac. It turned out to be anembryonic pregnancy (blighted ovum). I also, should have known as my pregnancy symptoms too started to go away during that 3 week period. I didnt have any cramping, nor any bleeding. I had to take Cytotec to make me miscarry.
I think it would be natural to worry, especially after you have already experienced a miscarriage. Maybe you can express your concerns to your doctor and see if you can get in another u/s.

I found out when I went in for my 8 week appointment. Baby was only measuring 6 weeks at that point and no heartbeat. I had absolutly no cramping or bleeding or anything. I actually had my first bought of nausea a couple of days before that appointment, so I was shocked. I totally understand your concern, is this maybe something you can mention to your dr? Maybe they will bring you in more often? Good luck! Your u/s pic is adorable!

My experience was completely different to these. I had an ultrasound at 6w4d because i had started bleeding seriously at 5w2d and I was sure I had already miscarried. At the ultrasound I was told I was still pregnant and there was a hb. I miscarried at 7weeks after a weekend of cramping and bleeding. I knew all along that something was not right.
My cousin miscarried at 9 weeks but said that she never felt "connected" like she had the first pg. She said it still shocked her when they told her the baby had stopped developing at 6 weeks but looking back she knew all along. She did however, bleed and cramp (which is what sent her for the ER where she found out the baby had died weeks earlier).
Sounds to me like every m/c is just like every pregnancy. Different for every one. I do think you should try and relax and enjoy the next 9 weeks (they will fly by!).

I was 15 weeks and had a doppler, no heart beat, then the u/s confirmed... you can buy home doplers for about $100, which is what I will do if we are lucky enough to conceive again

Jae, I hope these don't make you more worried I agree with the other ladies who suggested that you try to get your doctor to bring you in more often. I can only imagine how hard it must be in between appointments for you...I know that I'll probably be the same way when I'm pregnant again. *HUGS*
For me, our first appt turned out to be at 8 weeks, 4 days. We didn't know when we conceived, so we were sent for a dating ultrasound...someone cancelled, so we got in for that day. We saw baby and heard her heartbeat I'm so thankful now that we got in that day, because baby died only a few days later.
At 11 weeks, 1 day, I started getting dull cramps in my abdomen that got worse when I sat for awhile or did a lot of physical activity. I thought it was growing pains, and my uterus becoming the right shape (it's tilted, and I've heard that women with tilted uteruses experience more cramps). Then at 11 weeks, 6 days, I started spotting brown. It got a little bit more red in it as the day progressed, then that night, it turned into red bleeding. I knew then that baby was gone, but it wasn't confirmed until the next day. It was diagnosed as a missed miscarriage, and I had a D&C that day.
I'm keeping you and your baby in my T&P. *HUGS*

If my doctor didn't have an u/s machine in his office I don't know when we would have found out.
Since I had a chemical pregnacy they brought me in early and did lots of b/w. Than I had my u/s at the 6 1/2 week showed a slow h/b. Then they brought me back in a wk later and we had no h/b. I waited over a week for my d/e and still had m/s and sore bbs untill about 2 days before the d/e and than my bbs were not sore.. still had a nausea though.

Mine was a missed m/c at 12 weeks. went for my NT scan at 11 weeks 3 days and was told no hb and baby only measured 8 weeks 4 days. I had no bleeding, cramping, or any indications whatsoever that anything was wrong....well now looking back.. there were some signs a few weeks before I found out, but I would never had clued in that they had anything to do with a m/c. My hair started falling out like crazy, I mean I had bunches of hair in my hand whenever I washed it. Usually you have beautiful hair when you are pregnant and start losing it after you give birth. then I started to not feel tired anymore, which I thought was just my iron levels being high. Also at my 11 week appointment with the midwife we couldn't hear the hb, but she assured it was probably just to early.
Try not to worry, I'm sure your little bean is happy & healthy in there!!!!

Thank You all! It was helpful. I think I asked it b/c 2 days ago I didn't vomit in the morning and didn't feel sick at all during the day, so of course, who wouldn't worry, but then the next day and today i'm been sick again...so I think it comes and goes like it did early. Just as long as i'm sick until my next appt I'll be ok.
However, If I am a lucky one and looses sickness during the 2nd trimester, I'll go in and use his doppler to see if we can hear the heartbeat....that will be assuring!

HUGS Jae! I somehow missed this when you originally posted...just one more perspective from my own experience (esp. b/c you're worrying about the m/s coming and going)...my symptoms actually continued to get worse right up until (and after) we realized we were miscarrying when we lost the hb at 2nd u/s. I really agree with Michelle's comment that I think every pregnancy is really different - so try not to worry too much...you'll feel better after your next appt and you can hear the hb

Jae, I know it is hard, but try to enjoy this. I, personally had no symptoms of mc until I went in for my first visit. She came back and said the test was negative! I started bawling and the midwife went and retrieved the test and there was the faintest of lines. So, when I explained to her that I had 5 bfps and a digi bfp 10 days before, the look on her face said it all. I did the lab blood tests, and the next day, they tried to say that I was probably 1 week pg by the hcg levels. I knew that it was over. I hadn't had any reason to think I was losing the pg. The bleeding started the next day and my bbs weren't sore anymore and I was positive. You will be absolutely fine. Get a dopler to ease your mind. Some hospitals rent them out. Love and hugs hun. I am sooooooooooooo happppppppy for you!
