What are you doing for Easter this weekend? Does your Mom and Dad send you candy? Do you get anyone an Easter basket? Do you go to church? Do you cook a big meal?

Just being nosey!

I have worked the last 8 Easters.... Easter is not a holiday at our hospital. I will be working again this year.

This is also my first Easter without my ds.. he is in Fla with his girlfriend for spring break.

So no dinner, no Easter Basket, and I will be sleeping during church since I will have to be at work at 6pm that night.

We don't eat holiday dinners at my parents house anymore so this is the fist easter dinner we'll be cooking at our house. Our Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners turned out well so I'm confident that Easter will go well also. We've decided that we're going to do our dinner on Friday so my parents, grandma and brother will be able to come.
My parents always get something for dh and me and always a ton of something for ds, usually chocolate that lasts him 6 months (there's no smilie that shows how annoyed I am by that). This is ds's third easter and the first one we're doing a basket for him, the last 2 years we just bought him a couple toys and a stuffed rabbit so I'm excited about getting to do a basket. Hopefully my parents remember that this is ds's third easter not second. Last year they got him a card that said baby's first easter forgetting that he was a week old on his actual first easter.

We usually have a easter chocolate hunt for the kids. Just hide things all over the house and have them look for the treats. We are actually not doing anything this year as far as Easter Dinner or visit family. My mom is doing a huge birthday bash for my little sister, who is turning 16 in 2 weeks. So mom decided she didn't want to have 2 weekends of people coming over in a row. That's fine with me. We'll just hang out at home and enjoy our time together.

Kary- sorry you have to work! Teachers and nurses are my heroes!

We are still deciding what to do for Easter. Unfortunately DBF's dad passed away about a month ago so I think his Mom will want us to stick around here. But I lost my Grandpa and Uncle a couple months ago so I feel like I should be with my family for the holiday. We've had some bad luck with deaths in the family lately and holidays are especially rough.

I think I'll go to Wisc for the weekend and Z can stay down here to be with his Mom. That way almost everyone is happy.

My mom goes all out for Easter and gets us tons of stuff like its Christmas. She still hides our baskets even though we are 25, 23, and 16! goofy Mommy lol I'll probably be the same way...

I want to make Z a basket of his favorite candy but he's not much of a sweet eater so I'll keep it simple. I am dying for some Reese's peanut butter eggs though, those are better than regular peanut butter cups! And you can only get them this time of year. Actually I think at Christmas they make them tree shaped...

I'm glad I am not the only crazy person who thinks the egg kind are better! My DH always laughs at me.

We own a business so we will be working part of the day but in the afternoon we will have a good meal with my family and relax. I know we will want to watch the Masters too.

Hope the weather is good enough to hide eggs outside. This is the first year DD will be old enough to get the concept of a "hunt"!

Erika so sorry the past couple months have been so hard... We had a thanksgiving like years back.. We lost both our grandfathers that year.. and it was so hard. We did end up going both sides.. What an exausting day.

I have to agree the eggs are SOOOOO MUCH better... I think they are fresher.. you know they were just made for easter!

I hope everyone has a good Easter.. We are really seeing our family Sat. We will stop and see my parents (I need to see my mom, her mom, my grandmom passed away 3 weeks ago) and dh's parents

My mom use to do baskets for my brother and I (I'm 31, Dustin is 27) but now Wyatt is in the picture...forget about it. We've become 2nd class citizens

But this weekend I'm driving home (2hours) to my family on Friday during the day and DH is meeting us up there that night. We are going to have Wyatt dye eggs Saturday night...which I'm not sure if he'll be able to but it's his 1st Easter so we have to try right? I still have to get him and DSD their baskets. My MIL is coming over tomorrow and I really don't like her all that much so I'll be leaving Wyatt with her and going to get the stuff plus I have to get baby gates and such.

And Erika-I'm sorry you guys are going through the loss of family members. And yes the Easter Reese's are better although the Big Cup is very very close!!!

My parents will be visiting this weekend. Mom is bringing a turkey to cook on Sunday. I figure that if she's bringing it, she can cook it. Sounds fair doesn't it? When we're alone we'll often go out for Easter Sunday brunch. But that's about all we do.

I am going to buy all of the easter basket fillings tomorrow. This is the first time I am not going home for Easter I am 30 years old, but really can't afford it this year (it is a 16 hour drive), plus my mom is in West Virginia with her sister who is very sick. So, I am looking for Easter egg hunts and fun things in the Boston area...if anyone knows of any it would be greatly appreciated. Thats about it.
