Being in the TTC boat, I am sure many of you have heard about the OV Watch but if you haven't you should check it out. I used this watch last year and we got pregnant on the first cycle. I have been using the watch again (since January) and am hopeful that it will help us again. The basic overview of the watch is that it tracks your cycle and notifies you of your most fertile days. If you track your BBT I don't think that you would need this but the nice thing about it is that it notifies you 4 days before you ovulate so it gives you "extra dance" days. I remember reading somewhere that if after a certain period of time you do not get pregnant, while using the watch, there is a refund of some sort. Anyway, thought I would post the site for you to check out if you are interested...anything helps!

I had looked it to it.. I work night shift so I don't temp at the sametime everyday. It was a little pricey.... If I don't concieve soon I might break down and buy it.

It was a little pricey but considering the cost of the ovulation kits it's not that much more...over time. I forgot to post that my husband doubted the effectiveness of the watch and would have me POAS to check ovulation as well, and it has always been accurate. The nice thing about the watch for you KaryRN, is that you just wear it overnight and it looks just like a watch. It would save you the hassle of trying to temp at the same time every day. Good luck to you!

That was the main reason of looking into it was working nights... It really does sounds good! My luck I would buy it and it not work right away and have to buy more sensors.. LOL .. I just went with the internet cheepies for the OPK's (75 opk and 25 hpt's for $26)..... They worked... I knew I missed my eggie this cycle. SO on to cycle #2.

I haven't heard about the baby aspirin. I have tried the robitussin but practically have to gag it down. You are right...it can't hurt...but it can taste nasty! The only other things that we have tried are...
1. We bought a Conception Curve pillow. While it may seem like a silly purchase it is quite comfortable (more so that a stack of pillows) and the cover is washable, which is nice. If you go to this site you can see how it actually supports your knees.

2. PreSeed
Pre-Seed Sperm-Friendly Lubricant
I didn't search the web for the lowest prices for these items, just wanted to show them to you.
Other than that we will just be doing a lot of "dancing" and keeping our fingers crossed that we will be blessed this time around.

OHHH that pillow looks like it would make your back feel great! When my back hurts I lift my legs up like that to flatten out back..
I also went and bought Slippery stuff.. that is a sperm friendly lub also... me and my poor dh had an issue this past time.. (the reason I think we missed the eggie) with chafing... So I did some research and found preseed on sliperystuff.. Preseed you had to order I didn't know how long it would take to come in... sliperystuff is sold in adult stores... and stores that sell adult products.. our local mall just had a store open that sells laungire (sp) and I had seen it their.. so I went and bought some. It feels like CM!!!! It is kinda freaky. I really wanted to get the pre-seed I think I will still order it.. but will have the sliperystuff untill the preseed comes in.

I have to re-order and if I remember correctly they ship pretty fast. I have at least a week before we are back at it.
Can you tell me about the baby aspirin?

This was posted on the American Pregnancy Association forum... About the use of baby aspirin
Alot of women on here have been asking what baby aspirin does. I must emphasize, PLEASE CONSULT YOUR DOCTORS BEFORE STARTING IT AS IT THINS THE BLOOD! IT CAN ALSO CAUSE MORE HARM THAN GOOD!
What it does:
* Aspirin has a positive affect on the body’s immune system and the associated antibodies which may interfere with the embryo’s ability to attach to the lining of the uterus.
* Baby aspirin may help improve blood supply to various organs. This might help to:
-- improve the quality or number of eggs produced by the ovaries
-- improve the lining of the uterus
-- and/or help keep the blood vessels of the placenta open.
* Baby aspirin may also decrease the chances of a m/c when taken in early pregnancy
* Baby aspirin may also prevent dangerous blood clots from forming within the growing embryo, thus preventing complications as well as preventing the cut-off of oxygen from the growing baby.
Dosage/ Instructions:
- Take one baby aspirin per day. This may say “low-dose” or “baby” aspirin on the label and should contain between 78-82mg of aspirin per tablet.
- Do not take a full dose aspirin or a nonsteroidal medication such as Ibuprofen instead.
- More is not better. Taking more than one baby aspirin a day may decrease your fertility and be dangerous to your health.
People who have the following should not take Baby Aspirin:
* Significant bronchospasm or rhinitis
* Nasal polyps
* Asthma
* Allergic skin reactions
* Bleeding disorders
* Allergies
* Sensitivity to aspirin or Ibuprofen
* G6PD
Additional Info :
* Your blood may be slightly thinner. We suggest that you keep pressure on your blood draw sites for longer than you usually would.
* Low dose aspirin is safe in early pregnancy. Your doctor will tell you when to stop the aspirin. We suggest that you do not continue taking aspirin after the first trimester unless you are taking it for medical reasons.
* Please limit your alcohol intake while taking aspirin. It may cause problems with your stomach and intestine.
* If you get an upset stomach or have concerns about ulcers, coated baby aspirin is available and should be as effective.
* While you are on the baby aspirin, we suggest that you limit the following: curry powder, gherkins, licorice, paprika, prunes, raisins, tea and significant use of non-absorbable antacids such as Maalox or Rolaids.
IF any of you ladies have any questions, feel free to post them as well as consult your doctors! BABY DUST~

Wow Kary thanks for posting that! I take baby aspirin every once in a while when I remember along with B6 vitamins. My entire family has heart problems so I wonder if I should be on baby aspirin for that anyway. I am going to do some more research!
Thanks again for all the info girls!

One think you all might want to consider to save a little extra money would be instead of Pre-Seed, use Canola oil. Yep, the same stuff you cook with. When my RE put me on Clomid I asked about using EPO or Pre-Seed for the effects clomid can cause on CM. He said to just get some canola oil. I also have a small syringe like you would give a baby medicine with and I use that to put some of the canola oil where it needs to be. We bought a special little bottle just for use in the bedroom. lol

Wow I am learning so much on here today! Canola oil? I don't use any type of oil b/c I'm pretty good w/o if you know what I mean but I am guessing this helps the sperm swim upstream? I am going to be googling a ton of stuff tonight while Z does his taxes

yep. I am pretty good normally too, but Clomid did dry me up somewhat, so the Canola oil came in handy then.

Now Stephanie... Does the conola oil act as a lube or is it a replacement for your CM.. The reason I ask this is because when I was reading the preseed and Sliperystuff is only a lube not to be a replacement if you don't have enough CM. Just wondering if your Dr mentioned that?
