I started having irregular bleeding 18 months ago. Since then I've been to 4 different Ob/Gyn's and none of them no why I'm bleeding. The bleeding starts on cycle day 17 and continues until my actual period starts. Then my period is 7 days long. It's not just spotting it's enough to wear a pad. Anyway in February I got my BFP and thought it was all over and the bleeding would stop. Instead I had a M/c. So I saw Ob #4 for a different opinion. He said he thought I wasn't ovulating regularly and my progesterone was too low. Well he checked my levels and they are actually HIGH and I'm still bleeding He's at a loss and has no clue what's wrong. He says since my U/S, pelvic exam and bloodwork are normal then I'm okay to get pregnant again.

I'm really discouraged I do want to get pregnant again but it will be so nerve wracking if I get pregnant again and the bleeding doesn't stop. I'll constantly be worrying about another m/c.

What else can I do? Do you think I should do anything else? I live in a small area and all we have here are Ob/Gyn's. I have health insurance with infertility coverage but the nearest fertility center is 85 miles away one way and I'm not sure my Ob will give me the referral I need for that.

Any advice ladies?

I am sorry for your loss. I honestly dont know what to tell you about the bleeding or other options but I can tell you that I understand the worry about the future. We had our first loss in Feb at 7wks and I woory about the same thing all the time. A loss is just so heartbreaking that you dont want to set yourself up for that again. I would say 85 miles may be worth the drive for peace of mind? But it is up to you. Keep your chin up and hang in there!

Im sorry for your loss, and that your having these difficult issues. Have you or has your dr. recommended a d&c? How old are you? With this type of bleeding and your hormone levels are good, you may want to have your lining biopsied. I had this done for irregular/heavy bleeding last year. After the d&c, I did not have heavy bleeding anymore and the spotting started only a few days before AF. The biopsy was good, no cancer, and I think it helped having the lining scraped out and started fresh again. Did you have a d&c after this m/c?

No d & c. I'm only 29. I've gotten pregnant twice before without issues. I have a 2 and an 8 year old.
