Has anyone gotten a false positive on a First Response Gold? The one that comes in the box of FRERs? My dollar store tests are so faint that I thought I might be imagining them. So I took the Digi. But I saw online that a few girls got false positives on them!

I am worried that I am not really pregnant! I am worried that AF will show any day now! My dollar store tests all have a line that showed up in the time limit, they are all the same but REALLY faint, and they are pinkish. Can you get 4 evap line in a row?

I am sorry I am babbling, I am just freaking out!

I would think it's highly unlikely to get a false pos on a digi. If the lines are pinkish, I would bet that they're pos (not evaps) and just take a higher amount of HCG for a pos that a digi. What about your FRERs? How are those lines?

I would say the chances of getting 4 evaps in a row are slim to none! And you must have hcg in your system for the digi to show pregnant. Do you have an appt yet? If you are concerned I would have blood drawn to make sure your betas are going up. When did you get your first +? The hcg takes 24 hours to double. So you might have cought it early and you are not quite at that doubling point.. You are still early along.. give it a few days!! Hang in thier!

If you got a bfp on a digi my guess is that you are pg. When are you going to to dr for bloodwork?

When you got the very faint lines was it with FMU?

If you got a positive on a digital then you are preggo. The dollar tree tests are not as sensitive as the FRER. I took a FRER and a dollar tree test this morning (yes, I am getting more neurotic with each passing day, LOL) with the same urine and I got a positive with both, but it was WAY darker with the FRER than the dollar tree test. On the FRER my test line was darker than the control line and on the dollar tree test the control line was still much darker.
I hope this eases your mind.

I think she had a chemical pg and not a false positive, but I wasn't about to tell her that. I think it would have made it much harder on her, so I kept my mouth shut. I am sure you are fine!

I bought some more tests today... Some FRERs and some CB digi... the digi said NOT PREGNANT...The FRER was VERY faint.... Shouldn't they be getting darker every day? I am worried this is a chemical pregnancy. My $ tree test this morning was light then yesterdays (of course yesterday was with FMU and today was not)

I am so scared!

My advice would be to go to Walmart and get the equate brand tests. I have NEVER had a questionable test with these and I have with FRER's. I even went to peeonastick.com and the equate brand tests outperformed the more expensive tests. All 4 of my pg's were confirmed with the equates, with the earliest being 9dpo.

Please KUP and let us know how you are doing!!! You are in my prayers.

Thinking of you. It's so hard to wonder whether you're really PG or not...and using tests to determine if you're doing OK isn't always accurate. Was it FMU when you tested with the digi? Did you drink anything hours before testing? Very tough to tell. If you can, wait a few days and test again. A second line is still an indicator of being PG, so things are probably fine. Your best bet is to have blood drawn...KUP. I'm thinking of you!
