It may be that your doctor wants to be sure that you have a true cycle, not just spotting. Provera does affect the uterine lining. If you have endometriosis, it is prescribed for that (as well as in estrogen therapy). Outside of that, if you get a hold of your doc, great, ask him. I would definitely take it until he decides otherwise. It may make your rounds of clomid that much more acceptable.

Thanks for your explaination. I am going to try to tough it out with the symptoms and keep taking the Provera. I am really wanting to get my AF started and I believe this is the only way. I am having to take the provera because my Dr thinks I didnt ovulate in March. I m/c in december and I had a regular cycle in January and february but in march I didnt have one and the Dr did preg tests and said I wasnt preg that I didnt ovulate. I have had problems like this for about 2 years now. Sometimes I will have a regular cycle for a couple of months and then I will not have a cycle at all for a month or so. About a year ago I went 3 months without haveing a cycle. I thought I was trying to go through early menapause but the Dr said it was just my hormones.
