I have a question about bleeding...

So the heavy bleeding began Thursday was still fairly heavy on Friday and by the weekend was like a regular to light AF... Then today ( Monday ) I was sitting at work and the bleeding came back stronger then ever. I mean through the pad and pants with a plum size clot... That's a really fun situation at work... when you are a teacher... anyhow...

It's back to being normal bleeding for now... but for how much longer will I have these surprises?
I just want to get on with my life....

Hugs to all of you... we all need and deserve hugs if we are on this board.

the heavy bleeding is normal to a point. If you start going through a pad an hour, call your dr or go to the ER.
I bleed for almost 3 weeks, it would subside then pick back up.

hope it stops soon

My bleeding actually started 2 weeks BEFORE I miscarried. After I had passed all the tissue though the bleeding slowed and ended a week later. Perhaps the large clots were left behind in the original miscarriage. Even though it is an awful situation it is a good thing that your body is cleaning things out on its own.

Hope it goes away for you soon!

were you sitting for a while before the clot passed? Sometime sitting for a long period can allow the blood to coagulate and gel, the when you stand up the whole clot just falls out. You could *possibly* prevent this by spending more time on your feet but I know that is not always possible (the blood will still come out, but at least no in huge clots).

I am so sorry, this must be very hard for you- especially while at work. Please KUP and let us know how you are progressing.

I started miscarrying on the 4th and am still bleeding today. Its a lot lighter than it was but until about 4 days ago I was still dealing with big clots and just an overall mess for what seemed like all the time. I'm hoping the bleeding ends soon. I didn't actually start cramping and pass what I think was the gestational sac until about a week and a half after I started bleeding.

I'm really fed up with the bleeding though. And I'm still showing up positive on a pregnancy test.

With mine it started and stopped twice full blown with clots too. But it will go away. Its crazy to see how God really did make each body different and we all have our own individual stories of our bodies healing.

I bled really heavily for one day when all the clots passed and then it just became a normal AF like flow for a couple of days and then slowed down to nothing...pretty much done by 7 days or so. However, I was given medication to induce the m/c, so maybe that helped the clots to pass faster. My first AF was weird though..it would come and go for 9 days. I hope your bleeding stops soon!

It is completely normal to bleed off and on. As long as you aren't bleeding through a pad an hour you should be okay.
