My Neice needs your prayers. Saturday she tried to hurt herself, she was threatening suicide. She has been admitted into a Psychiatric hospital an hour and a half away from here. I dont know how long she will be there but please help me pray that GOD will make her better. She had stopped taking her Depression medicine and was refusing to take it from what her mom told me so help me pray that when she gets out she will keep taking her meds. She is only 15 she will be 16 on the 1st of July. She has been on Depression Medicine every since her Brother (My Nephew) and Grandfather (my father in law) died in 2003. Her Brother had a 4-wheeler accident and he was in the hosptial for several days and we thought he was getting better but his head injury was so bad that he didnt make it and she watched him pass away and it was really hard on her, her and her brother were real close. They were about 2 years age difference between them. 11 Days after her Brother died her Grandfather also passed away from Cancer After they both passed away she became real depressed and had to go on Depression meds. Please everybody who prays please help me pray that she will get better and please help me pray that she will get God in her life. Please also help me pray that her mother and father will also get God in their lives.

Sorry to hear such a sad story. You and your family are in my T&P's.

Oh my gosh Janice. That is so sad. I have had 3 family members die in the past 5 months so I can somewhat relate to losing so many people close together. It is extremely difficult and I can only imagine how difficult it would be to handle at such a young age. I hope she stays on those meds and gets better. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

I'm sorry your family is going through this. I am a psychiatric social worker in a state hospital and unfortunately your niece is not alone. Hopefully they will be able to get her medications regulated and link her to some good supports in the community. I would recommend that the family look into NAMI.org they have chapters in every state. They offer a lot of support and information. Feel free to pm me if you need help.

You got it. My friend's 16 yr old daughter did the same thing, she took a bunch of pills luckily her father caught her in the act and got her to the hospital in time where they pumped her stomach, she went to a psych hospital for about a week. Shes doing better today but still has her rough days.

Thank you so much for this info. and thanks to everyone for your prayers. I havent heard anything new about my niece yet but I am going to be calling her mom today. I will keep you all updated

I talked to my Nieces mother a few minutes ago and she said that my Niece got to come home. I am glad she is home I just hope she does okay. Thanks so much to everyone for your thoughts and prayers
