I'm very very very happy to report that my 1st appt (which included a u/s) went well....
Dr is setting my due date at Nov 30th based on LMP...based on ovulation its Dec 1. I figure since babies never come when they're supposed to, it's all the same.
The baby's actually measuring a couple days ahead (8w6d) and had a great hb of 170! Can't begin to tell you what a relief that is....the PA indicated that based on the heartbeat that my chance for a m/c drops to 5-8% (which is great, i guess, but still high enough to make us wait until end of first tri to announce to people).
And we got pictures! It was a different experience this time around with the u/s...everything went fast and the zipped out some photos for us right away. So here's our little one - i think they said the baby is right around 1 inch now (so tiny!) and the technician showed us it's little arm & leg buds!
Only bad news from the appt is that I'm dehydrated (ugh) - not badly enough for them to send me to ER, but enough to get a lecture...they do understand how i'm struggling even on the m/s meds, so they want me to monitor fluid intake more (sigh). Also got a PAP and bloodwork, but hopefully nothing bad comes back in those results.
I go back in about 3 1/2 weeks for another appt - i think so the dr can listen to the hb on doppler.
