Buy for a little girl for her 2nd birthday???
It's Sarah's birthday on Thursday, and her party is on Saturday! So...now I'm wondering what to get her. For Easter, I got her clothes: shorts, 3 tank tops.
So for her birthday, I'm wondering what to get her. My sister got her a little shopping cart, and a Cabbage Patch Doll. So, I'm still wondering!
What do you suggest???? She does have a lot of toys!

A little girl can never have too many toys I suggest a little princess dress up dress thing. My step daughter use to love putting on cinderella's dress or sleeping beauty's dress. You can find them at target or walmart. That way it's not a toy but it's still something she can "play" with.

Well, in our house the saying is that you can never have too many books! Tanith loves books. She'll sit and "read" to herself a lot. It's stinking cute! Tanith also really likes coloring right now, and kicking and throwing balls around. You could always get food for the shopping cart.

Kate is 2 1/2 and she is into sand toys and gardening. (Perfect for this time of year!)
Also, if you are looking for a toy to get her, Kate got a toy called Snap Dolls. There are also Snap dogs. They have hard plastic clothes and accessories that are easy for a small child to do by themselves. And if your two year old is anything like mine, there is a lot of "I DO IT!" going on. They are great for taking along to restaurants or when visiting someone that doesn't have a lot of kid friendly things. She really loves them. (They are by Fisher Price)
Good luck. She will like anything you get her. It is just a fun age.

I agree that either board books or dress up clothes would be a good choice. I would have preferred books, but my daughter would have preferred the dress up clothes. lol

My suggestions would have been books or dress up clothes, as well. Good luck!

You got to get a toy, but make it count. I have way too many toys at my house and every birthday I dread what comes next. But it's no fun for the kids if it isn't a toy, even if they only play with it for a few minutes. How about a tricycle? I bet she'd love that. Baby Einstein videos, a shape sorter, something for her to paint with (they have this musical crayola paint thing) Books are always a great idea, especially the ones that make music. Have fun shopping!!

I would typically go with the dress up clothes too. But the tricycle sounds like a good one too!

I was thinking about the dress-up idea earlier today, actually!! I'm going to look into them. Toys R Us has a lot of Disney Princess stuff, which is sooo cute!!!
Thanks for all the great ideas, ladies!!!! I knew I could count on you!!

I saw this Cinderella dress-up set from Toys R Us, it comes with tiara, shoes, purse and two-piece dress. Now I'm wondering if a little umbrella stroller and clothes for her CBD are better...

I personally haven't seen any dress-up style stuff in her toy box, probably because she IS so young. She does have her dollies and loves them very much.

Two year olds LOVE to push around babies in a stroller. I would get her stuff for her baby dolls and for Christmas I'd do the dress up clothes when she's a bit older. I want pics of whatever you get!

Okay so, I went to a different store today and saw the outfit but no stroller. So I didn't buy it. It was also raining and it put me into a mood, even though Diego was with me.. Here's how that convo went..
D: What are you buying?
Me: Something for Sarah's birthday, I dunno what though!
D: So why are you looking at puzzles, that's boring!
Me: I'm not looking at puzzles, I'm looking dooownnnn the aisle! Jeez, if you can't relax and let me shop, go sit in the patio furniture and draw a picture!
D: Okay Miss Moody, get your doll clothes so we can go!
Therefore, I didn't get it! I'm gonna go to TRU tomorrow (hopefully) and get her stuff. I got off work late today, so I didn't have the extra time and even then, it was raining so I didn't bother.
I did however, buy 3 packages of hand sanitizer... since the "Swine Flu" has now been re-named to N1H1 Flu Virus...
