I've had a such a rotten, terrible day! But yet, there are strangely some silver linings in it. The short of it is, I lost my job...or rather my position. It had nothing to do with the economy, I still work in the same place, for the same pay but this position was something I really wanted to do. I've had a tough time with my current position and I was so looking forward to moving on to a different type of work (I was scheduled to start in 2 weeks). I'm completely devestated...I've cried my eyes out since yesterday.

Part of the reason I'm so upset is that I feel like I had done so much to get that position...including putting our TTC plans on hold so I could work the required 14+ hour days. Now, suddenly, everything has changed. I will still work but it will be a much easier (and duller) job than planned. The first thing my DH said when I told him about the job was "We can just have a baby!". So, we may bump up the plans...I need to think about it for a few weeks but I may be POAS sooner rather than later.

The second piece of good news is that my ob/gyn ordered a full blood panel for me and is testing EVERYTHING. I'm hoping I can get some answers for my losses. I should know in 3 weeks...I will keep you all posted.

Liz

Sorry about your position Liz. that really is a bummer, especially since you put everything on hold for it. Good luck with ttc sooner than later.

I'm sorry about the position, Liz!

However, I'm happy for you that you might get to TTC sooner (if that's what you decide that you want). And I'm glad that the doctor is running a full blood panel.

Also sorry to hear the position didn't work out for you. take a few days and then try and find the silver lining (ttc, less stress, etc).

Thanks everyone! I'm still really bummed out....I'm actually at home today because I was such a mess at work. The awesome part is that I bought some plane tickets to fly down to where my DH is training (Alabama). So, I get to leave behind this cold Montana weather and see him a lot sooner than I would have.

I'm sorry to hear that you're not getting the new position. I actually had something similar happen to me. If you don't mind me asking, what field are you in?

And good luck TTC, I hope when you have your little bundle of joy you'll look back and be happy the position didn't work out. Hope you're doing ok today.

I have always found that the phrase "when God closes a door, He opens a window" to be so very true. there have been so many times that my plans didn't work out as expected, but in the long run things were so much better!!! Another of my favorite sayings is "If you want to hear God laugh, tell him your plans" So true. I am glad that you are able to see past this immediate set back and that your Dr is being so great!!!

Where is your DH training in AL??? I live in Mobile, so if he is training here and you need help finding a hotel or even a great place to eat I will be happy to help you out!!!

what a rollercoaster for you right now. This is happening for a reason... I a firm believer in everything happens for a reason and also like Heather said. I have heard when God closes one door turn around he's opened another. So maybe this is your door to ttc. I know its not exactly the plan you had in mind.. but take it as it is.. A time to think about what you want to do!! GOOD LUCK!!!

PS.... going to see dh? Will you be O'ing around the time? Just maybe....

So sorry about the job thing...that really stinks. Hopefully the silver lining in the cloud includes a BFP in the near future??? Maybe not starting in this position is the perfect way for you to cut back on the hours and look at priorities. Maybe TTC? Maybe other position options? Who knows... but this may give you the time needed to think and rethink KUP
I hope it all works out!
