Hi ladies...
I wanted to let you all know I was in a car accident on Saturday night/Sunday morning. I was going home from work, I actually got stranded where my night job is and my friend came to get me..and we got rear ended by a Hummer. My friend's car is an Hyundai Elantra, so the size difference was a bit much... anyway.. both of us are in rough shape, neck pains, headaches, back pains, etc. I'm going to the doctor today and so is she. We have a meeting with a lawyer on Tuesday at noon.
The driver of the Hummer blew over the legal limit, yep..she was driving drunk. Not to mention..her and her friends walked away from the scene. Anyway..I can't get further into it because it's in the hands of the Police.
I will let you all know what's going on. I'm back at work on Wednesday, so I'll probably be in chat tonight to see how long my eyes can stand the computer.
I love you girls!!! I hope your Mother's Day was good (considering)!
Update:
Well I had my first physio appointment today. I was in pain after the little shocker things. He wanted me to do an ultrasound while sitting afterwards and that was so not happening, my back has been in knots ever since. Thank God my doc wants me to get massage therapy too! I was given an ObusForme pillow since I'm not sleeping and when I do it's in 30 min spurts...sleep..wake up..sleep..wake up. I have to go back tomorrow, and have 3 appointments for next week scheduled.
I just hope the re-scheduled meeting with the lawyers doesn't conflict with my physio appointments as well as my friend's appointments.
Anyway...that's today's update! I'm in pain right now, but can't do much... I'm losing like a pound a day...which would normally be good..but..I'm not sure. I wanted to lose weight, but honestly..I have no appetite to eat because of the pain I'm in!

Oh NO! Jessica, I'm glad to hear you're not in worse shape. Hummers aren't exactly economy sized cars...they're HUGE! Please let us know what the doctor says. Take care. See you in chat! Thinking of you with "feel better soon" wishes.

Oh Jessica, other than m/c, I don't know what else is worse on earth than drunk driving. It is inexcusable. I don't care how "good" of a person you are, that is one of the most wreckless acts a human being can perform. (I had 3 friends in high school die in separate accidents due to drunk drivers hitting them) Keep us posted on you and your friend's health. I am so sorry you went through that! I love you girl.

oh thank god you're ok (and your friend too)! I was in a bad accident years ago where we were in a smaller car and a truck slammed into us at a red light...had the whole range of whiplash and i had a concussion so DEFINITELY go get checked out by a doctor. Often the adreneline post-accident masks injuries so you want to get fully checked out to make sure there's nothing else wrong. Poor you - go rest and definitely avoid eye strain until they test you for concussion...HUGS

Oh no Jess!!!! How HORRIBLE! Drunk driving is so inexcusable. I'm glad you are alive and safe. I hope you aren't seriously injured.. I'm glad you're going to the Dr. today. Lots of hugs and a speedy recovery!

OMG - that is horrible!!! Hope you and your friend are okay and won't suffer any lasting effects from this. That is a significant size difference between the Elantra and the Hummer. Did she flee the scene??? I hope the police got her.

Hey girls,
I'm back from the docs with some meds and orders to go to physio and massage therapy. I won't be in chat tonight like I was hoping, I have a meeting tomorrow at noon with the lawyers, and I need to go to my friends house tonight to stay over. Our friend is driving us to and from the meeting.
As for the driver of the Hummer...she fled the scene on foot with her friends, the cop showed up shortly after, spoke to us and then took off in the direction we saw them walking to see if he could get her. He returned a few mins later with her in the backseat.
Anyway, I'll update more tomorrow when I get back from the lawyer's...I really don't like putting my personal business out there for everyone to see, but you girls are like family to me, so I need to tell you all.
To be fair...I think I'm going to cancel MOTW and Picture Girl for this week. Because it's already into the week.
