I just went over to my old DDC to check up on them (or stalk them as some of you would call it) and am shocked to find out that another mommy has lost her baby at 18 weeks. That just makes me so sad. I feel like crying right now. it wasn't from JM but another site, but it feels like that Sept. DDC was cursed. We've had so many mommies leave in the beginning and then more even more around the 8-12 weeks time and now another one.
I don't think I'll look at pregnancy the same way ever again.

I hate so much to hear that Unfortunately I don't know of a DDC that hasn't had a loss, but to hear that a large number of ladies from the same group has lost their babies just breaks my heart!!! I know I will never think of pregnancy the same way after my loss at 17wks. It is so hard to know that there is never a truly "safe" time in pregnancy. Please extend an invitation to this woman to join us when she is ready (if I can't find the post myself). We all have to stick together and support these ladies who are newly experiencing loss. We can't fix it for them, but we can listen to their tears.

Aw that is so heartbreaking. I used to think after 12 weeks you're "in the clear" but after my loss at 13 1/2 weeks and hearing of all of these 2nd tri losses I'll never feel safe. Even labor I'll be terrified something will happen. It's just not fair

I'm another former member of the September DDC. I lost my son almost a month ago at 18.5 weeks. Pregnancy and labor are supposed to be the most natural things....why does it go so wrong so often?

I am so sad to hear that I was borderline Aug/Sept DDC (m/c before I would have actually found out if I should have been in Sept) as well. Right now, in the Dec DDC there have been many losses as well and it is just breaking my heart. It also makes me more scared of my U/S coming up in 2 days

It breaks my heart every month when the PL board receives a wave of ladies from the newest DDC who have just lost their babies
Sandy - I'm so sorry for your loss, honey. *HUGS*
Lynda - I'm praying that your ultrasound shows a perfect little baby with a beautiful heartbeat. *HUGS*

it is extremely sad. Makes me hesitant to ever join another DDC b/c it was just so hard to see post after post about spotting, then some of those turned into m/c. It totally freaked me out to the point that I stopped reading them, little did I know I'd become one of them. All innocence is definitely lost for me, I lurk on another pregnancy board and one of those women had a stillbirth, she was full term. It's just not fair, and I don't know how I'll be able to remain calm the next time around.

I'm such an emotional wreck right now, but I just love your post! Hopefully, eventually, I will be able to listen and offer encouraging words to others as well. It is scary to think that no time in pregnancy is safe! It is heartbreaking!

It really is scary. I was in the Sept DDC, but has a first trimester loss, and then a second trimester loss with our Nov baby. You just think you are safe in the second trimester, it's so scary, yet such a wonderful blessing to be pregnant!

I hate having to feel nervous about everything. I saw my baby's hb at 8 weeks, so even when I get an u/s at 6 weeks I won't feel assured. Then I think In mid-July I’ll be in teh 2nd-tri, I can finally relax, but reading all the stories of heartache and m/c, I know I won’t relax until I have the baby in my arms..even then..geez.
I thought July had a lot of losses as well...

I was in the Oct DDC, and it seemed as though we lost a lot too...
I won't feel safe until I have my LO in my arms, and even then I am sleeping with one eye open.
I will never like it, and I will never understand it.
