I was wondering if there are any other older girls in the group. When I was in my early 20's and having babies it was so easy. I am 40 now and was feeling really great and positive about having a baby at my age until my most recent loss. Now I am feeling like my time is up and that was my last chance.
I am curious to see how others are feeling about TTC later in life after a loss.
Thanks Ladies for everything,
Missy

I am 28 myself, but I do have a very good friend who had a loss when she was in her mid 20's. She went on to have another child in her 30's, then had a surprise (but very welcome) pregnancy when she was 40. That little boy is now 7 years old and very healthy. So healthy that I can't imagine how she keeps up with him!! I don't have the energy she does!!! You are not too old to keep TTC- you will be successful!!! Good Luck!!!

I'm only 21 but I wanted to give you some hope. My Aunt thought she could never carry a child full term. She is not 45 and 8 months pregnant with her first. She has had 13 m/c in her past. So please don't give up hun if that is what you really want.

there's actually a number of us here who also moonlight over in TTCOM, so you're definitely not alone. I'm 36 (will be 37 at delivery) and my loss occurred a week or so after I turned 36...i definitely understand the *extra* pressure you feel with a loss...the good news is a number of us recently (or not so recently) got our BFPs, so don't let the "older" status get you down!

I turned 36 in Dec. and had my loss in March. DH will be 40 this year. I have also thought whether my time is up and that's why I'm having problems, since I've had no issues with my previous 3. But what is meant to happen will happen and I'm not giving up hope. My mom was 38 when she had my little sister and my dad was 47, so anything can happen.

Thanks Ladies. You are all so awesome!
I am just feeling the tick, tick, tick like the end is near. My sister went through menopause at age 35! My whole family has been through menopause at 40 or younger so I am just a little nervous. Come on Eggs

I'm 32 (was 32 when I had my loss), will be 33 in Nov. and DH just turned 40 on the 4th. I can tell things are harder this time. I don't have the same cm I did in my 20's, and DH doesn't have the same sex drive he once did.

I'm 38. I had never even gotten pregnant until I was 37.
(most likely I will be 39 when this bean arrives, and then we are going to start ttc again almost immediately.)

I'm only 29, so I'm not an older mother, but I am an older sister - MUCH older. My brothers are 16 - that's 13 years younger. My mom was 39 when she got pregnant, and 40 when she had them. She had two losses first, but one decade after giving me a sister, she gave me two brothers. They are now obnoxious teenagers. And my mom has A LOT of friends who had babies when she did. Don't give up hope!

Im on 26 and Steve is as well. Our past baby had Trisomy 18, where the odd of having it was 1 and 12,000 for all age groups. For our age it was more like 1 in 18,000 So Age doesnt mean anything in our book.
Everyone I know (Family and Friends) who are in their late 30's and 40's have had perfectly healthy babies. I wish you the best of luck and please dont give up!!!
