I did BBT charting the month I got pregnant with Ethan. I knew I was pregnant before I POAS, because when my temp spiked above 98 degrees, it remained that way for the rest of my cycle.

Ethan has been my only pregnancy so far. I know that not every woman experiences the persistently elevated BBT when they conceive like I did. My question is, do you guys know whether this elevated BBT happens each time you get pregnant? What I mean to say is - since I was persistently elevated with Ethan, will I be persistently elevated with any and all future pregnancies? I'm worried that if my temperature drops below 98 this month, I'm going to get all discouraged the whole 2ww. But if the persistent elevation is not guaranteed to happen every single time I get pregnant, I think I'll be less depressed if it doesn't happen, because I could still be pregnant.

I have never charted or done anything like that so I can't help you out there. I do hope you get a BFP soon though!

Right before I got my bfp I had a huge dip in temp at 9 dpo, I thought for sure it was af coming early but it turned out to be an implantation dip. it stayed above 98 other than that one dip until the day i got my bfp

Ive BBT before, and still dabble in charting fertility symptoms, and that was my understanding. Your temp should spike and stay elevated, but a dip very well means an implantation. None of my BBT charts were sucessfull though, male fertility problems. *sigh*

I see we are on the same CD!

rebecca--It really varies, I think, with each pg'cy. If you've got a chart on ff, you can browse through other charts and be selective with the criteria... i.e. You could look up charts that end with a BFP that showed an implantation dip and had low BBT's and implantaion spotting... just an example... but both my pgcy's were completely different from each other... and then my last one with my 4th m/c, was again, completely different than with my boys. The charting definitely helps, tho, I think.... sorry if that wasn't much help!
