So I have to make a decision as to move or not to move by Monday and I am at a total loss. My lease is up in August and according to the lease I have to let my landlord know by Monday.

There is no right or wrong answer - Do I move or no?

Pro's
I would save about $600.00 - $800.00 per month

Con's
I would have to take the younger 2 boys out of their current school
There is a chance I would end up with a 3 bedroom vs 4 bedroom house

I can afford where I live now, but the $ is tight each month and it does cause a little stress.

HELP!

Saving $600-$800 would really put some breathing room in your budget!! And I have learned that it is not the size of the house, but the quality of the home. We have a decent sized house but with 4 kids (2 bio and 2 steps) and one on the way- it gets pretty crowded around here. We love bunkbeds!! I say if you could save that $$$ you feel much better!!! I know I would!!!

Is the one less bedroom going to make a difference?

I would talk to your kiddos and see how they would feel about switching schools.

Other than that, to save that much a month would be awesome!

depends on how young your boys are. the older the harder it is to leave friends behind. When I was growing up I've moved schools a lot, but the hardest part was when I got into high school. I've also had to move my dd around a bit, but she was okay because she's only in grade 4 and up to now she was able to make friends at each school, but I would be hesitant to move her now, unless I really had to.
$600-$800 is a big chunk of money to save, so for that reason I would move, but then again, do you need that extra bedroom or could you do without??
Good luck!

I would say saving the money would probably take so much of the stress away for you guys. But maybe you should talk to the kids first and see what they think.

Are you stable.. enough, are your jobs secure? With the way the economy is. That would be a big weight on my head. The smaller house.... Could you DO it? Would it be too cramped? You have a hard choice to make... good luck?

I hate moving and would normally say to stay put, but that's a lot of money.

They are all older, 18, almost 17 and 14. I spoke to them tonight and they are all for moving if it takes some of the $ stress off of me. Being a single parent for 14 years, we have moved all around for career moves. They have moved from NY to GA to FL to PA with me.

I found a 3 bedroom, 2 bath place (1600 sq feet) with an indoor pool and gym with sauna, tennis courts, basketball courts, and nail salon in the lobby I am going to go look tomorrow. If we like it (from the pictures the place is amazing!) then I will see about their availability when my current lease is up. It is only about 15 minutes away from where we live now and would save me about $625/month if not more.

I am pretty excited and will keep you updated.

I'm glad your boys are all for the move!!! Being only 15 minutes from where you are now, would you have to move their schools?

Saving that kind of money is always welcoming, and I wish you the best of luck with this!! I hope you get it!!!
