Ok, can I just vent about eBay for a sec? As some of you may or may not know...I had an eBay business for a few years. I closed it last year when I started back at Intel. A couple weeks ago I decided to sell a few things to earn some $$ for our upcoming vacation. So I posted a handful of plus sized bras that were almost new and just sitting around because they are too big for me now. A lady in CT bought one for $7 (yes $7 for a very nice, barely used, Cacique bra). My terms of service on my auction says I will ship within 3 business days. My goal is always to ship next business day from when I recieve payment, this way my stars for shipping stay high.

Well, she paid on a Sunday evening and I told her I would drop it off Monday, and I did that. I dropped it off at the UPS store 5/11 (the same one I always use) at 11am. The USPS didn't show a scan on the tracking until 5/13 at a facility about 2 hours from my house. This means, they probably got it 5/11 from UPS and scanned it 5/12 so it cna get out the door and be to Richmond, CA and scanned 5/13. The lady basically called me a liar and said I could not have possibly shipped it on Monday. Not to mention the USPS says 2-9 business days and that means because of weekends and the upcoming holiday she should see it no later than 5/26 Tuesday. Hello you are in CT, I'm in CA give it some time woman.

Ok I'm not sure why this got me so riled up today. She was completely illogical even after I spelled everything out to her and offered a refund if it was not there by 5/26. She told me if it wasn't there by 5/22 this Friday she would file a dispute. I've been in several disputes as a buyer and they almost always win. But you know, I'm standing my ground here I did nothing wrong and even shipped it earlier than my TOS states.

Am I being unreasonable?

PS- Thanks for letting me vent over this $7 bra transaction that I'm letting ruin my afternoon...deep breaths....off to buy starbucks haha.

On a related note, AF is due next week and I'm having weird PMS like symtpoms, so might not be a good sign, boo!

You can just never please some people. As a buyer I always plan on the absolute maximum amount of time to ship, so I am pleasantly surprised if it shows up earlier. Sounds like she's just trying to get a free bra, even though she already got a great deal on it. I have some Cacique, so I know that $7 is awesome!

omg as a buyer and seller i have been in only one dispute but this one is stupid i can't believe this woman hello your not next door and as a postal worker lol i know the system and yes we do screw up sometimes by not scanning or forgetting and god forbid loosing pkgs which would not be your fault this woman needs to see this is a good deal never heard about that brand but 7 bucks for a bras. i'm actually waiting for a bunch of stuff right now that i ordered 2 weeks ago i'm gonna wait another week and then politely ask how much longer

Some people are so unreasonable. If she does complain, do you have a copy of your UPS receipt as proof?

Thanks all...I think I'm over it. She has yet to respond so part of me thinks it arrived today haha. Anywho, I had my starbucks went for a swim and I'm feeling much better.

GOsh I would be in shock if these were EPS...we only DTD once sort of around the O time, our 2nd month of NTNP and that would figure haha.

So about a UPS receipt. I don't use UPS to ship. I pre-pay postage at home and print it from Paypal then drop it off at UPS store where USPS will pick it up. I did call them yesterday and USPS picked up packages at 1pm that Monday which means it was scanned TUesday and sent to Richmond, CA where it was scanned again on 5/13 (which that's the only scan showing so she thinks that's when I dropped it off). People are moronic sometimes and she'll see the writing on the wall once the package gets there. I just hate having to deal with that plus work stress. Ya know? Have a nice day ladies.

i sell on ebay and every blue moon, you will get the irrational buyer who you can't make happy. don't sweat it. it's definitely not worth the ruined afternoon!!! poop on her!!
