i'm thinking of trying EPO again for my next cycle. I took it the cycle that I got my last bfp... i figure there is no harm in trying it.
has anyone else tried it? Any results? A friend of mine (who is due at the end of July) tried it for one cycle and that was the cycle she fell preg on. Has anyone else heard success stories?

Sorry Bel, I might just be dumb (or it could be baby brain!) but what is EPO? Obviously since I don't know I have never tried it!

I haven't heard of it either what is it? Anything is worth a try I say!!! I just found this if it is the same thing?
Erythropoietin stimulates the bone marrow to produce more red blood cells. The resultant rise in red cells increases the oxygen-carrying capacity of the blood.
As the prime regulator of red cell production, erythropoietin's major functions are to:
Promote the development of red blood cells.
Initiate the synthesis of hemoglobin, the molecule within red blood cells that transports oxygen.

I read somewhere that it could help and started using EPO this cycle too.
EPO is Evening Primrose Oil. I found a website that talks about its aid in fertility, I can't post a link yet, but if you good "Evening Primrose Oil to Concieve" it is called babyhopes dot com.
A few key lines, In women, it can especially be helpful for relieving breast pain, menstrual pains and improving the quality and fertility of cervical mucus.
Evening Primrose Oil or EPO should only be taken from menstruation to ovulation. This is because Evening Primrose Oil or EPO can cause uterine contractions in pregnancy. The dosage taken should be 1500mg to 3000mg per day. Since essential fatty acids are necessary, you can take flax seed oil in place of Evening Primrose Oil or EPO after ovulation. This may be taken throughout pregnancy as well.
Hope this helps!

I say give it a try. I never took while I was TTC. I have taken in when I was all crazy with vitamins, minerals and such. I use to do like 10-12 pills (vitamin stuff) a day. I say GO FOR IT!!!

I bought it a couple weeks ago and I haven't opened the bottle yet! I forgot. Let's use it together this cycle and get pg!

I've only used it at the end of my pg with Tanith, never for TTC. Sorry! At the end of pg it is useful for helping to soften the cervix, making dilation easier and faster.

I used it in March for the first time from a/f to O and I got pregnant, but it sadly ended in a m/c at 6 weeks. I am going to start taking it again once I get a/f.

Bel, I think it did! When I got to the birth center I was already 6 cm and 100% effaced, and Tanith was at a -2 station, so she wasn't even pushing on my cervix yet! I hit a 9 and my water broke before she was fully engaged.

Ive heard many people suggest EPO before you start going to fertility meds and such. My mom takes EPO for menopause, calms the hot flashes. She told me that since it made her feel soo much better, that I should take it too (this was 2 years ago, at the docs office) and I spit out my pop and said "NO WAY, dont you know that will get me pregnant easier?!" My doctor was susprised I knew about it. Insted though, she convinced me to take Iron supplements, which made me feel AWESOME... ya I got pregnant a month later by accident lol
I am taking Iron supplements again, after this m/c I think that might have been the problem. Good luck on the EPO! If we dont get a BFP soon, we will start taking it as well.
