So last night DH and I sat down and had a very serious talk. If we are not pregnant this month then we are going to stop "trying" for next month. We aren't going to prevent it but I will not be temping or POAS all the time. I think that we are getting so frustrated with TTC and each other and we need a break and need to just spend time together. But that is not to say that we still don't want to be pregnant! I just feel like I'm starting to obsess over it and I don't think that is helping us at all. Thanks for reading this ladies. And has anyone else stopped "trying" and then it happened?

With my miscarriage we were not trying...not protecting...I stopped taking the pill July 15, 2007 and started af July 18, 2007 and we found out we were pregnant August 10, 2007. But what I think really helped was DH had been gone for a year (deployed w/ Navy in Iraq) so he came home and we were DTD like bunnies I think no matter what if it's causing you and dh a little stress you guys need to reconnect without all the TTC and enjoy each other for a bit. And hopefully during that time it will happen Good luck!!!

I totally understand. I haven't had that many cycles ttc, so we haven't done this yet, but it might be something that I do too. It's so stressful to try to get pregnant, and doing it after a loss is a lot harder. I wish you the best of luck!!!!

Shortcake, good for you. I think that I am starting to obess about it also. I am not going to prevent it, but I am not going to live my life based on 'timing'. If the opportunity arises we'll give it a go, but I won't be stressing out just because I missed O time. sometimes the stress of it can make it difficult to conceive. Keeping my fingers crossed that it happens for you regardless!

With my Angel, we weren't trying..we were not trying/not preventing, AND I was on the pill!
I think giving it up for a month will do you and DH some good, no stress, etc.
Good luck!!!

Autumn was a complete surprise...we didn't even know that we could get pregnant naturally! So not trying definitely works
Good luck!

I agree... The stress can be overwhelming!!!
We had the talk last night.. I don't want to obsess anymore. I was even questioning continue to temp/do the OPK's this month. I know the past 2 cycles I O'ing around day 17-18. I thing we will do the bd as many time around the 17-18 five day before and five days after.... If it happens it happens..

Taking a short break will be good for both of you, it seems like every month you get a BFN the next month is even more intense. Of course, you aren't allowed to leave the board!!! Be sure you stick around even if you are not obsessively TTC!!!

With Kaleb, I was actively NOT trying, pill and condoms were used and only DTD once that month, and somehow here he is! With our recent m/c, we were TTC the month before, stressing out and all with nothing happening. I wanted to take April off, since I really didnt want a baby born around xmas time. I told DF "You watch, I want a break from all this, we're not going to try and I'll get pregnant" and sure enough, we did!! We only DTD ONCE last month... and it worked wonders lol Now that we are actively TTC, we're just being careless teenagers as DF calls it, and just not protecting but not pinpointing when we should DTD, just going with the flow like last month. I hope my increased drive helps, and the fact that my body has gone back to normal already. We would really love to welcome another little one. Good luck! Hope your not trying/not avoiding works!

I have a GREAT story of this!!! One of our closest friends were ttc for 3 years and after a while decided that they were going to look into other options. So she stopped taking her clomid, stopped temping, and stopped trying basicly. They were looking into ivf and a few other things and BAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She got preg!!! No meds no nothing!!! Just finally taking a step back, deap breath, and relaxing and it happed! Elli turned two this past saturday!!!
