Ok I have a question thats been bothering me, and I wanted to post it in the secret forum, but I have a ways to go before I get there! Soo I'll suck it up and ask here
When I got my BFP (May 8th), the day before I noticed a strange rash on my... ahh.. *area*. Its not down low, but on the upper part and on my bikini line. What makes it weird is that its not red, pink, spotted, or broken up. Its actually a few shades darker than my skin, a brown color and its a uniform rash with no breaks in it. Its not sore, or itchy or inflamed. Its just THERE. Urgh. I did have my m/c on the 10th, but this rash hasnt gone away. I have changed all my soaps, but I only use hypoallergenic with no dyes or scents. Anyone have any clue on what this would be? Its not anything sexually related, I do get tested often (Im parinoid about that stuff althoug I have no reason to be!). Just wondering if its pregnancy related, since I am still getting alot of the symptoms I should, if I was still pregnant. Which blows.

I did read somewhere that hyperpigmentation can happen suring pregnancy. My sister has something similar on the top left part of her forehead.

Could be that??

Is is just pigment, and not a rash by chance? Could be caused by hormones? Sorry I am not more help.

I would have to say it sounds like it's caused by hormonal changes...more pigment related than a rash, since it doesn't seem to itch and it's just a different shade. Just like your nips get darker during pregnancy or you get pigment spots on your face and that lovely dark line on your belly....that could be the same thing. Did your hcg levels go back down to 0???

im sure it is just pigmentation changes due to the pregnancy. Some people experience pigmentation changes that don't actually go once they are no longer pregnant, so you may just be one of these people who it doesn't change back for.

If you are concerned though probably best to check it with your doc next time you are there.

Like the other ladies said, the pigmentation thing...that would be my only guess aside from razor burn! Are you going in for a follow up anytime soon? KUP

I would say it is possibly due to hormone changes too!!! Ask your Dr to be sure, but it doesn't sound serious.

Ya know what? I think that really could be it! It is like my skin has changed color, but no other symptom. I did have this under my arms with Kaleb from my armpit to my wrist and thats what it was then. Thanks! I'm heading in on Monday to have it checked, Ill bring that info with me! Funny how things can slip your mind, but right now I think I lost my mind a few weeks ago :S
