I wasn't going to bother posting this because I know that it's a long shot, but I'm in AGONY.
Quick background - I started the Yaz birth control pill on May 3. I stopped yesterday because after I researched more about how the pill works and the possible side effects, I didn't feel that hormonal birth control was the right choice for me. Anyway, almost the entire time that I've been on the pill, my bb's have hurt SO bad. Not just tingles or tenderness, but full on pain and inability to not wear a bra because they feel so heavy and sensitive. I don't think they even hurt this much when I was pregnant.
If there is anyone who experienced sore bb's the entire time they were on the pill, or even just some of the time, how long did it take for them to feel normal again? Or does anyone know how long it will take for the hormones to leave my body? I was only taking the pills for 19 days, so I'm hoping that it will be soon!

I never had any bad side effects, but I think that Yaz is a little stronger than most, and I just took the regular generic Planned Parenthood stuff. It shouldn't be more than a few days, I would think, since if you miss more than a day you risk getting pg. I hope your body goes back to normal soon!

I took the Yaz pill... but it was so long ago it is hard for me to remember. I also went onto a different pill (after being on that one 3 years as I started to have spotting throughout my cycle). I wouldn't think it would be too long?? any chance you may be preg? It may be worth doing a test if those sort of things keep up much longer.
best of luck

I always took the ortho-try Low because I felt better about being on a "lower" hormonal pill. I think Yaz is a much, much stronger one hormonal wise because its also to help treat PMDD which is just a severe form of PMS.
Hope you start feeling back to normal soon. Have you ever though about temping as a backup & then using condoms as your main source of BC? Temping doesn't guarantee you wont get PG but it will also give you an idea of where you are in your cycle.

I had extremely high blood pressure from the pill so they had me stop taking it. About a week later it was back to normal! HTH.

I wasn't on Yaz but on another kind and I didn't have any side effects at all. Depending on where in your cycle you are you, should be feeling better after AF.

Ive been on the pill, Depro Provera shot and patches and EVERY single one of them gave me every single horrible possible symptom from BC that they could muster! I had the unbelivable sore BB's, heavy bleeding, heavy cramps, 3 month periods, no periods, acne, sickness, hives, weight gain (severe) migranes, mood swings... and these were all 10/10 on a scale of PITA lol But thankfully, once I stoped taking BC, my body goes back to normal. Except my 18 months of infertility because of the needle.
I have come to the conclusion... if I want to have sex, I need to be prepared for a child lol The only BC I can use is condoms, and well, tada Kaleb lol Hormonal BC just messes me up soo badly, Ive actually been told not to use it. Hope your tatas feel better soon!!

Bel - Since my last ovulation, I had a negative blood test (approximately 11 dpo) and AF. I don't ovulate until approximate CD27, so I'm still waiting on that this cycle. Those are my reasons for not believing that pregnancy is possible. Believe me, I wish that was where these symptoms were coming from
Heather - I'm researching FAM right now. We're going to start using that, with condoms as backup.
Thanks, ladies!

Sorry I can't help. I was on Sesonle for a few year ... another low dose that is out of your system within days. 24-48 hours I was told by my Doc when we wanted to start trying. I have been on some type of birthcontrol.. Norplant.. b/c pills since my son was born in 1990 ending July of 2008. Almost 18 years. The only thing I can complain about was strong headaches during my cycle.
Hope you find some answers Good luck!
