I have been spotting or small bleeding since Monday.Yesterday it all happened....
I started to cramp bad,and within 10 minutes I felt a huge gush. It filled the toilet My pad was soaked, I put on two more pads, and was really cramping. I stood up and made itto the front room, and gush again, went back to the bathroom, and both pads were filled within 2min. I made it to the front room, and by now I thought this was the worse Menstrual cramps ever, I laid downinbed, and it gushed, gushed ,gushed. Christian took me to the hospital around the corner, by about 3 minutes away. I was rolled in a wheelchair and they told me they had no beds so for 10 minutes or so, lost track of time, I am sure it was longer, but I dont want to dramitize it, I sat in the hallway, in a wheelchair crying, screaming Oh God, ****,gushing and in INTENSE PAIN, told chris to ask someone for pain meds, so the nurse asked me to go to the bathroom with her, and I took off the two pads I had, and a 6 inch clot rolled down my leg, and two more in the toiler, and it just kep coming. She said I will clear a bed from SOMEONE! so she was back in 3min,while I sat o the toilet, they took me back, gave me an IV, and checked me, he said it wasnt pouring out, but what was going on is that my body went into labor to get it out and the gush is from the contractions.CONTRACTIONS!!! HARD TERRIBLE CHILD BEARING CONTRACTIONS!!! FOR TWO HOURS!!! Then all of a sudden the severe cramping stopped. The contraction were very mild. Everytime i got up,blood poured down my leg and a couple clots would fall on the foor. So I went from 4 pads every 15 mins, to 4pads an hour. they said after 4hours, that I could go home, but if it picked up again to come back. I had some more bleeding for about an hour when I came home before I went to bed, and I felt drained. It has tappered back off to a pad now, I wore one of sebastans diapers when I got home, but now just a pad. Slept, but today I feel drained, like a vampire has sucked out my insides. I can hardly move. But i am better. I just have to say, this M/C was terrible. And I was not prepared for contractions and all that blood. TERRIBLE. I am glad it is mostly over and now I am on th recovery side. I cant wait to be done completely and feel back to normal again.Just thought I would update.

I am so sorry. It sounds eerily similar to my story. If you ever need to talk please PM me. Seeing all the blood on top of losing a baby is extremely traumatizing and I still have nightmares about it. I am so so sorry you had to go through that.
Forgot to add- have them check your hemoglobin levels. Mine went from 14 to 7 in a matter of hours and they said that's why I was so dizzy, like you said a vampire sucked all the blood out of you. I went to the grocery store and got an iron supplement and took one or two and within a couple hours it felt like I was alive again.

So sorry to hear you had such a horrible time. But I am glad you are on the recovery end of things now.
Make sure you drink lots of fluids and take care of yourself. You have lost a lot of blood and your body will take some time to replenish it.
We are here for you if you need us!!

It's horrible isn't it? I was prepared for the blood, but not the pain! No one ever told me that I would go through full labour.
It sounds like the worst of it is over. Now you can focus on healing.

Big hugs sweetie! When I had my m/c, those were worse than labor with my DD. It was terrible! Drink lots of water, get lots of rest! I hope you feel physically better soon. Don't rush the emotional.

Oh sweetie I'm so sorry. The bright side is that you are coming out the other side. You were contracting so hard because you were passing the sac. I can't believe you weren't given any pain med's or anything to take in preparation for when this started happening.
At least it went quickly for you....I bled for 3 weeks before I got the cramping....then bled for another 2 weeks...then had to take meds to pass the remaining tissue (but I at least got pain meds that time!).
Its all behind you now....take the day for you today. Relax in bed, stay hydrated (gatorade will be good), eat some iron rich foods and do whatever you need to do. We are all here for you if you need us.

I'm so sorry! It's truly a traumatic experience, sounding very much like my experience, except that mine was at home in my bathroom with DS out in the living room! Give yourself time to grieve... it will get easier, I promise!

I'm sorry you had such horrible pains. I started getting those labour pains with my m/c while I was in a dr. office waiting for my kids to be seen. I did not expect to feel that way at all and it's a miracle that I didn't run out of there and straight to the hospital. I barely made it home with all the blood gushing out. It was the worst experience I've ever had. Glad you are feeling better and the bleeding has stopped. HUGS!!!

im sorry your experience was so full on. also sounds very similar to my experience, but for me I had the contractions for 4 days? I still don't know why it went on for that long considering the most of my blood loss was in the first couple of days.
Rest up lovely and feel better soon. KUP

That sounded very similar to my experience ( http://www.justmommies.com/forums/13638149-post1.html (Angela_NY))Be aware you may feel weak for weeks to come, I did. It's tough just to get up the stair without losing your breath...
My Dr. said drink orange juice when eating iron or taking supplement, Vit. C will help the iron be absorbed.
I'm so sorry you had to go through this.
