Hey, welcome. I hate having to welcome someone new. I'm sorry for your loss, you'll find great support here.

I'm not sure if its O pains or not, any fertile CM to go with it? Lots of girls get pregnant right away. I hope you get your BFP soon!

Hi hun.. I'm sorry for your loss.. but you are very welcome here on your ttc journey. Please feel free to post and join us!
From my experience and research, it seems you usually ovulate 2-3 weeks after your hcg levels drop to almost 0. So, if your levels dropped and you got a negative pregnancy test right after the D&C, then you might be ovulating! For me, it apparently takes over 2 weeks for my levels to drop after a D&C. Everyone will be different. Other signs like CM and CP are more helpful, because there's a lot of random pains/pulls you'll have in the next couple month or so.

Plenty of women get pregnant right away after a miscarriage and go on to have healthy children. Good luck to you!

Welcome Melissa. I'm very sorry for your loss. I've never experienced O pain so I'm not sure what to tell you. If you have watery or EWCM as well then I would start BD'ing.

Today my pregnancy test was negative...2 days ago it was a very faint positive. It has gotten lighter the past two weeks to negative today.
So it will take another 2-3 weeks to O ?...yuk!! I have felt my cervix and it is soft and it has stitches in both sided of it.My Dr. never told me I had stitches he said everything was okay to ttc again.I wonder why I have stitches??

I would call your dr. about the stitches. I dont know how common that is, and wonder if that would cause any risk to an incompitent cervix with a recent pregnancy after loss. Maybe they were done because your cervix did not close after the d&c? Im sorry for your loss and wanted to welcome you as well.

Welcome to the board!!! I would also advise that you check with your dr about the stitches, I have never heard of anyone needing stitches after a normal d&c (doesn't mean it doesn't happen, I have just never heard anyone mention it). As far as O'ing, everyone is a little different so there is no way to tell you exactly what will happen. This is a great board and you will love it here!!!

I don't know anything about stitches either! I'm sure your Dr. will clear things up for you. You might very well be ovulating... everyone is different... so go ahead and BD if the Dr. gave you the clear! Good luck! I hope you catch it!

Hello Melissa and welcome. I am so sorry for your lost. I am new here to, just getting my feet wet, so I really don't have any advise to offer on TTCAL.

Hello Melissa,
I am so sorry for your loss. I also had my loss at 6 weeks. It is a posibility you are Ovulating, have you tried an Ovulation predictor kit? My Doctor recommended them and I love them. I buy the answer brand that has 20 test strips in it. I dont know what to say about the stitches. I didnt have a D&C. They told me I had a complete miscarriage. It took me about 2 weeks and 3 days for my levels to stop rising. They thought I was still pregnant because My levels kept rising but then one day they sent me for an HCG Quantitative test and My levels had dropped from 598 to 117 and when I saw that Number I was devistated. That is when they finally said that I did miscarry. I wish you luck and I hope you get your BFP right away.

Just wanted to say welcome. I hope what you are feeling are O pains. However, I did have a LOT of cramping after my D&C too...so maybe could be that. It took me about a full cycle to get back to normal physically. My Dr. gave us the OK to BD right away but I was too emotional so we waited quite a while. Good luck and keep us posted on the stiches...I'm curious as I haven't heard of them either following a D&C.

I talked to him and he said it was form the instrument that is put on your cervix to hold your uterus in place.I started bleeding from it and he had to stitch both sides to stop the bleeding. He said it will not have any effect on further pregnancies.

Hey hun. I also thought that I was ovulating very soon after my m/c. I also heard that a woman is very fertile the first three months after a m/c. However, I miscarried in late October of 08. I am still trying very hard with no results. I wish you luck. There have been a lot of women here who have gotten pg before they even got a period. I hope you join them. But, until then, I welcome you with a heavy heart. Good luck and I look forward to getting to know you...pg or not
