hmmm, well no surprise af is on the way as we were preventing this month due the the recurrent m/c testing.. but the arrival of af is acting very weird for me.
Normally I get 7 - 10 days of spotting pre af. I have had so far 8 or so days of spotting but the spotting has been red blood for the last 5 or so days, rather then the normal old brown blood. So that was the first weird thing.
AF is arriving super slow. I have had a little bit of loss over the last 24 hours... almost enough to class as the "light" stage of af - but not quite. And the loss I have had is very "watery" for lack of a better term. And now i have gone to the loo and there was a blood clot, quite a large one, maybe 2-3cm long and a cm thick... but still no actual af - just the watery light redish/brownish loss again now?? this is a super weird beginning for AF for me...

i guess im wondering if anyone else has had this sort of thing happen to them? where af is super weird and out of the ordinary from how it normally is... I know there was absolutely no chance this cycle for pregnancy so it can't be an early loss or anything like that... I have had some cramps tonight and im sure AF will arrive in all her glory tomorrow (just in time for me to fly to sydney for the weekend - great!)

i'm not sure how long ago you m/c'd but my cycles have taken awhile to get back to normal after my last m/c. it could be that your hormones are trying to return to their pre m/c status. good luck with your next cycle!!!

This is just a thought but could it be from them doing the biopsy? Maybe if your really worried you could call and ask the Doctor about it. Hope its nothing serious.

hi Lynda, my last m/c was the 14th Jan.,.. so a while ago now. but i guess anything is possible.

hi Shortcake - i thought that too and i thought that yesterdays small clots would have been due to the biopsy.. the bigger one tonight, i dunno, just didn't think one that large could be from what he did? hmm but the thought definitely crossed my mind to.

Oh also, based on the blood tests they did which said that I o'd on the 13th that would have made af due today... just wish it would bloody hurry up and get here so I can look forward to getting back to ttc

It took a while for me to get back to normal after my loss also. I wouldn't worry too much, but call your dr if you do get concerned.

Bel--I've had cycles almost a year after my m/c where I passed clots... some really BIG ones even! I was also thinking that maybe it had to do with the biopsy... I know I had spotting after the biopsied my polyp last month.. but not real bright red blood... sorry that's not much help. Hope that you get some answers while on your trip! KUP!

My first Af after the d&c was just like this. I spotted for 9 days, but no real flo. I just started my second cycle yesterday and it feels normal now. This sucks for us, all we want at this point is to have normal cycles so we can start to TTC again. How was your previous cycles? Were they like this too? I mean after the m/c, not before.

well AF has arrived properly now so I guess it was likely due to the biopsy.

onwards and upwards... i am now officially TTC again! yay
