What do you do when you get woken up before your normal time and don't get a chance to take your temp, before you have to run out of bed. Do you take your temp right after or do you skip it that day???? This morning Isabelle woke me up crying and I couldn't just lie there for 3 minutes and ignore her, while I was taking my temp. Just wondering??

I used to skip the day. If you've already gotten up and done something, chances are the temp would be inaccurate.

I would skip it. Maybe if you get a chance to nap you could take it after that??

I usually take it anyway but make a mental note that it may be incorrect. Honestly, my temp jumps a degree over a couple days after I've ovulated.... I could take my temperature mid day and still confirm ovulation.. but that's because I know my temps pretty well by now. Looking at a chart as a whole usually confirms the outliers anyway... That said, I try to be extra careful when I know I'm O'ing! I tend to be more lazy the other days!!!
So... I might take it, but just not rely on it and try to be sure the next couple days you get to take it on time!

I would still take it, and just mark sleep deprived... it will give you an open circle, but usually if it's just a day or two during the month, it won't usually affect the accuracy of your chart. HTH!

Unless you're right around O time, I would skip it.

I'd skip it - my doctor says I can miss 2 non-consecutive days in a given cycle without affecting accuracy.

This is one of the reason I have never been a temper. I just never wake up at the same time everyday. Glad to see that some of the other ladies can help, I am totally useless on this subject!!!

i would take it and adjust it through temp adjuster online. but if you're not close to O or trying to get CHs it's probably not all that important!!!

I would take it make sleep deprived... I NEVER temp the same time, the same day, and not always after 4 straight hours... I work night shift.. so sleeping during the day is hard. I sometimes wake up in the middle of my 6 hour sleep on the days I work.. I still temp.. and chart it. I don't find the difference in my temps are that dramatic that it alters when I O.. It stils jumps high enough to register Ovulation. I only mark sleep deprived if I get less than 4 hours sleep. On my first day off... I set my alarm to only get about 3 1/2 hours sleep. So I still temp and mark sleep deprived Only for that reason. And if you look at my charts for the last 3 months... Not much different for my last two cycles... this one I am running a few days ahead.. I think I might be returning to my old pre m/c cycle.
