Ok firstly let me just start by saying how much I HATE doctors. I went in this morning and when I scheduled the appointment I was told even if the urine test came back negative they would do a BT. So I go in pee in the cup she comes back in and says it negative I said okay lets do the BT. She says no if its negative there is no way your pregnant. I'm like are you kidding me!?! So then she goes and gets the PA and she comes in and says to wait a week come back in next Thursday for another urine test and if its still negative they want to start me on Clomid! GRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry ladies but I am very upset.

So you are possibly pg and they want you to take fertility drugs? Wth? They are probably going to try to force a period, so I'd be careful. I'd demand a bt. YOU are paying them. You are they're employer, it's their JOB. I'd go back in and start pitching a fit. I know people that just don't pass the HCG into their urine. One of my friends didn't have a positive HPT until she was 2 1/2 mos.

Do you really like this practice? If not, have you considered looking for another doctor/practice? Sorry you have to wait until next week, but hopefully you will get a BFP to wave in their faces!

Thats what I said to them. I said I didn't test positive last time until I was over 2 months.

I am sorry they are not listening to you. Thats kind of how I felt with my last midwife so I am going to find a different doctor next time.

Shortcake-- Was that just the lab, hon? Can you call your dr and ask for a lab slip for the BT? I would think, especially if you didn't test + last time until after 2 mo's, that they should be more than willing to do a BT--especially since they're getting paid for it! Give it a try, hon... and KUP! I'm sorry again!

No it was actually the doctors office that I was at today. But I did not get to talk to a doctor just a nurse and the PA. I just get so frustrated.

I would call back and ask to speak to your dr, Shortcake! You shouldn't have to wait a week for some answers!

That totally stinks. I would have probably started to cry. I'm so sorry they did that to you. Hopefully you'll get a BFP before you go back next week.

I would make an appointment to see the dr. asap. That is ridiculous. I would definately not take the clomid because you could be pregnant already. How stupid of them...sometimes they are just incompetent. Can you not go to a walk in clinc or something and ask them for a bt?? or go to another dr?? how frustrating.

That's just unacceptable! You're chart shows a beautiful pregnancy is very much likely.. and given your last BFP came late... you totally should be given a blood test! I'd call back and demand to talk to the Dr. If they don't listen, I hope you find a new one that does!!!!! I can't believe they recommended fertility drugs when you could be pregnant already!!!!

I just called in and tried to set up an Appt with the doctor and they said I had to wait until July!!!!!! And I really can't switch doctors because there is only one other place to go around here and the other place isn't taking new patients.

DAng it! You poor thing. Call and ask for the doctor to return your call. Many times the front desk and the doc aren't on the same page when it comes to your care. I'd discuss your concerns and see what he/she says. Keep us posted. I hope your BFP comes so you don't have to deal with this anymore!

Personally I would just show up and tell them that you are not leaving until you get to talk to the Dr. If they say you don't have an appointment, just tell them you already HAD one and they didn't do a **** thing that you asked them to. Remember, the squeaky wheel gets the grease- chances are you will get quickly ushered back to see the dr so the other patients won't hear you complaining. Then I would raise hell with the dr about the care you got from the PA!!!! You are the 'customer' demand good service!!!

Could you call them and tell them "I GOT A POSITIVE ON A HPT!" and see if they would then do a blood test? Hehe.

I'm sorry, I'm new here - what's a BT?
I'm sorry they were such jerks. I like the idea you had in the chat thread, but I would also through a hissy fit, if it were me.

I am sorry they are doing this too.. What A-holes!!! I would keep testing.. Keep taking your vitamins.. And if you go in next week (hopefully will have the BFP before than) Tell them you want to verify with a BT that you infact NOT pregnant. Since your temps are still up..and you are late! You know your body.... Screeeew them!!!!!
