My friend has PCOS and her doctor told her not to focus on the EWCM (I think less likely to see EWCM with PCOS), just to make sure she was dtd close to ovulation. EWCM definitely helps the swimmers get to the egg and last for longer, but you can still get pregnant without it.
There are some natural things I've read about that can help increase EWCM and it has helped me - two that I can remember are eating carrots (I just munch on a raw carrot a day in the few days leading up to ovulation!) and also grapefruit juice leading up to ovulation. I haven't tried the juice this time but the time I did do it (while also eating the raw carrots) I got EWCM for the first time in months and got pregnant that cycle. I also recently read that raw food in general aids digestion and can increase EWCM - so fresh fruit & raw veges. (I've been googling this recently as have been lacking EWCM pre- and post m/c).
Anyway, this has just reminded me that I haven't eaten any carrot today so I'm off to get one

- good luck!!
