had my second u/s this morning. We have heartbeats. My vanishing twin, didn't vanish, the little bugger is fighting. Baby B is measuring right on track and looks perfect. Baby B is measuring about a week behind and has an extended yolk sack. But both have heartbeats. The Doctor is not optimistic about Baby A. I think at this point I'm the only one that i hoping my little fighter will make it. I go back in two weeks for another u/s then my RE will release me to my OB for at least one appt, but then most likely I will be going to a perinatologist.
Here's the pic

Awww two heartbeats! I will say a prayer for your fighter and one for baby B as well!
Also - what does an "extended yolk sac" mean? I have never heard that before.

I think with the extended yolk sak the Dr. meant that it was much bigger than he thought it should be.

Sam, I have been "out of the loop" lately and didn't even know you had two beans in there!
I will pray that your "little one" catches up to his/her brother/sister and joins your family in 8 months!
KUP!!!!
