Hi ladies,
iam wondering if anyone can shed some light on why my af is acting strange?
I had a d&c on april 24 and on may 23 started spotting which turned into light flow by may 24.
Fast forward to today, bleeding stopped last night and today there was nothing, until i went to the loo just now and when i wiped there it was again.
Bright red....
Is this normal? I really want to start ttcing as soon as possible again, but iam kinda worried that this strange cycle is something more to worry about.
Has anyone have this happen?

I can't shed any light on this as I didn't have a D&C. I hope that one of the other ladies can help you.

This is a VERY comon concern on this board- I think most of the ladies here had a strange AF the first few cycles after a D&C. I know I did for two cycles then got pg again before the 3rd AF. Give it a few weeks to let your hormones level out and you should return to a more normal AF- if you have any questions don't hesitate to call your DR!!! Good Luck and welcome to the board!!!

my cycle bounced back very quickly after the last d&c, so i was not expecting any trouble with this one....
Naive i guess...
Maybe this will be done by tomorrow...

Bine what did your DR say about ttc?? I was told to wait a few cycles, which i decided was 2...
My first AF was very light and I had read abit about it and I would imagine that was because in aD & C they really do take everything they can and it does take a cycle or two to get the lining back up and thick enough to hold a pregnancy...

My first Af sounds a lot like yours light and random, but I had cramping like normal through the times where the flow had dried up.. I decided my body was going trhouh the motions but there was hardly any lining to make up my period...

After my D&C the doctor said we could TTC right away because she knew I would anyways. And my AF were weird for awhile after it. Hope yours return to normal soon

Sally, my doc said to wait 2 cycles, which is what we are doing.
So i wait....
As i have no patience this is really a challenge for me.

My Dr said we didn't have to wait but I had a funky cycle after my first AF and didn't regulate til the next one after that. Hope you get your BFP soon!

My AF was one day heavier but the cramping has been horrible. I still feel crampy and "off". My Dr said it was normal and that everyones bodies react differently to a D&C. If you have any concerns though I would definatley call your doctor.

I had the same thing happen. I was like clock work after my D&C in '06. This time after my D&C in March it took almost 40 days for AF to return and then I had some odd spotting about 4 days after it stopped. I am only a few days into this cycle but I already feel like it is more "normal" than my last. Hopefully things will work out while you "wait" and then your body will be ready for you when you TTC again.

My first cycle consited of 9 days of just "spotting", I chalked it up to not much lining to shed. 29 days later, which was 3 three days ago, AF showed like no other! I have not blead this much since I was on cancer medication. But, I do feel releaved that it means I should have had a nice thick lining to shed. Now I finally feel ready to try this month, we will see....

I hope you get your BFP before you have to worry about a heavy AF, good luck!!
