I got good news from my cousin today. First let me give you a brief history of my cousins situation. My cousin is a diabetic and has been every since she was a child. I am not sure at what age but She was diagnosed with juvenile diabetes when she was pretty young. About 2 years ago (I Think) she gave birth to a baby boy who was still born. He had passed away a few days before he was born. He was born without a skull and due to that he passed away. Well a little while after he was born my cousin got pregnant again and ended up having to have a D&C at about 11 weeks because her babies heart stopped beating. Well just a few months after her D&C she got pregnant again and was finally able to carry this baby to 34 weeks. She gave birth to him at 5:00 this morning and he was 6 pound and 12 ounces and 19 inches long. He had a little trouble breathing on his own at first but now he is breathing just fine on his own and they have taken him off of the oxygen. my cousin thought she was going to miscarry early on in her pregnancy because she had some bleeding but she didnt miscarry and I am so very happy for her that she gave birth to a healthy baby boy.

Update
My cousin and her little boy are doing well and they are both home from the hospital.

Wow what a hard road she has been on. She must be very strong to have tried again and I'm so glad she is holding a healthy baby now.

That's such great news. I have a diabetic friend whose first was a stillborn too. It's so heartbreaking.

I hope that mom and baby are doing great!

Hi, Sorry I have to admit I'm a bit confused? Are you talking about a different cousin -maybe I have missed another update! I see your cousin in the original post had her baby on May 28th, so I guess you are talking about another cousin possibly miscarrying? I hope that things work out for her.

for her.

If I were your cousin, I would definitely seek out a second opinion. Her numbers sound plenty high, I would question the skill level of whoever did the u/s and the measurements. I hope she gets in to see her doctor and everything is OK. Is she still spotting? Is the bleeding getting heavier?

Thank you for sharing your wonderful story and CONGRATULATIONS to your family. It gives me hope. I'm still coming to terms with my MC and am hoping to TTC asap, just waiting for the clear from my DR. It's stories like this that make me feel like it is OK to think that it will happen for me and to get excited about it. Positive thoughts all around for you ladies.
