Hi everyone.

I'm new here, and just wanted to introduce myself. My DH and I decided to start TTC our 2nd child in January, and I had my Mirena IUD removed that month. 3 months later, I got a BFP! My first u/s at 4w6d confirmed a EDD of 12/29/09. We were very, very excited. Unfortunately, at 6w2d, I was admitted to the ER for bleeding, and the u/s discovered no heartbeat or embryo. The doctor diagnosed it as a blighted ovum. I went home that day and we lost our Christmas baby in a natural m/c. Those were the darkest and emptiest days of my life, and I think about that baby every single day. I find hope in my son, and in TTC again soon.

We have decided to wait until AF shows to TTC again. It will have been 4 weeks since the m/c started this Thursday, so we are hoping AF shows soon.

So, I am looking forward to getting to know you ladies. Thanks very much for reading.

We all hate to say it, but welcome. JM has been so great for me after both of my m/c-- one in '06 and the most recent in March.

I know what you mean about your son giving you hope. Any time I start to get too down about not being pg, I look at my little girl and know that it is possible and that it is worth it!

Hope AF shows soon so you can TTC again. We are all here any time. Feel free to vent or ask questions. I have learned, that no matter what it is, someone has gone through it or is dealing with it too. It is a lot of help!

Thank you so much ladies. I think the thing that has helped me the most is to read other women's stories. It makes me feel like there is hope beyond this...

Hi Melissa, welcome to the board. I am so sorry to hear of your loss but you are definitely in the right place for support. I hope AF shows for you soon (it took me 35 days) and you are able to TTC right away.
