Yesterday was DH's convocation (graduation) from university with his PhD. Here is a couple pictures.

Thanks ladies. His degree is in Mining Engineering (specifically geostatistics). The book he is holding (his thesis) is titled "Simulations of Geologic Phenomena Using Multiple - Point Statistics in a Gibbs Sampler Algoritm". (I understand about half of that).

Congratulations to your dh! you both look so nice in the photgraphy! You should crop it, print is as an 8x10 and have it framed! What does he plan to do with his degree?

Kary - don't worry I usually understand less than 50% of what he says to me about his work
Trish - definitely to do with rocks. He is a mining engineer but is working with geology more than mines.
Photogmama - I think we will frame one!
He is currently working with the government mapping the resources in the province. So far he is looking at water (ground water, aquifers, etc).
