I'm just wondering if anyone else has experienced this. Yesterday I noticed that my right boob was sore on one side...not the normal sore I sometimes get before AF or when I was pg, but more of a bruised kind of sore, like I had been hit there or something. The other one is fine and doesn't feel sore at all. The right one also feels a little firmer than the left one and if I push on where it hurts it's almost like a knot or something (it's not a bump or lump or anything because I did a very thorough check on that). I mentioned it to my DH and even he could feel the difference. His first thought is to go to the Dr., which I'm considering....but I also think that last month it kind of felt like this too, just not as painful. AF isn't supposed to show up until the end of next week, but I"m wondering if this is some new kind of PMS symptom I'm now experiencing. Has anyone else had something like this before?

hmmm...I don't think so. Is it close to your armpit? Could it be the lymph node? Or maybe you are getting an infection...does it feel warm? I'm sorry I can't be of much help, but I hope it goes away soon. I would definately get it checked out just to be sure it's nothing serious. The other thing that jumps to mind is that when you get pregnant your boobs start to produce milk and maybe that is what you are experiencing..the milk ducts getting all geared up and maybe it's getting over stimulated on one side.

thanks trish!
it's on the side by my armpit, but it's def on the actual breast, kind of close to the nipple (okay wow...totally TMI for me! haha). It doesn't feel like a lump or anything, it just feels firmer, like more muscle or something. I dont get it cuz it really just feels like I got hit in that one section or something, kind of a throbbing feeling but it comes and goes...weird. I guess I make a Dr. Appt next week if it doesn't go aawy and see what's up....

I wish I knew what to say, maybe the doctor can do an ultrasound and see if there's anything there. I'm hoping there isn't!!

I've read that you can also get cysts in your breasts. TThey can develop and disappear pretty quickly.

Breasts are made up of fat tissue that feels soft, and fibrous tissue that feels firm. Underneath the breast is muscle tissue (the pectoral muscle) that can be quite hard. Most women can feel lumpy areas in their breasts, often in the same place each time. Some women also develop transient tender lumps (small cysts) before their menstrual periods, and these lumps then shrink after the period is over

Just make sure your doc knows about it. That way, if there is anything to be concerned about, they'll let you know. I used to get a really sore spot monthly on the lower left side. I found out it was from an underwire bra! it's always good to know it's nothing to worry about.

I would get it checked out. Thats something you don't want to mess with - I am overly anxious about lumps/swollen-ness in my boobies.
