It sounds like yesterday you got dehydrated. As for the weight issue... getting healthy is never a bad thing. I have been trying to walk, I have about 20 lbs to loose myself. I will continue to ttc. And I will continue to walk and exercise while pregnant. They have just put out new "ideal weight gain during pregnancy" and let me tell you they don't want you gaining alot...
Underweight (BMI less than 18.5) 28 to 40 pounds (about 13 to 18 kilograms)
Normal weight (BMI 18.5 to 24.9) 25 to 35 pounds (about 11 to 16 kilograms)
Overweight (BMI 25 to 29.9) 15 to 25 pounds (about 7 to 11 kilograms)
Obese (BMI 30 or greater) 11 to 20 pounds (about 5 to 9 kilograms)
If you figure a newborn.. average.. 7 lbs, after birth maybe 3lbs with the fluid......
That is not a lot of weigth.... I know I would be in 15-25 lb weight gain..
With my son I gained over 80lbs...
So I would say to you... try to loose the weight... but also keep trying... and if you concieve while trying to loose the weight... keep trying to be healthy, making healthy choices and excercise thats what I will be doing... GOOD LUCK!

I always got pg after losing about 20 lbs. With my first we were trying, and no luck. I buckled down and lost 20 lbs. Pg next cycle. I had just started dieting again, pg with my loss the next cycle. Decided to get healthier before my next pregnancy, lost 20 lbs again, pg next cycle. So it may help your fertility depending on how overweight you are. Being overweight can be detrimental to conceiving. And as long as you are exercising when you get pg, there shouldn't be any reason not to continue a light regimen after conceiving. GL!

THanks ladies. YOu all always know how to give good advice and make me feel better. I am going to try to start exercising tomorrow if my body feels up to it. I have been trying to drink more water today so maybe that will help with the hydration. I still feel weak and tired but I guess that is normal with what I went through yesturday, I honestly thought I was dying I had never experienced that before. I am going to start tyring to walk on my tredmill of the morning and maybe walk up and down the road in front of my house durning the late evening when it isnt so hot. I am going to try doing weight watchers again. I had success on their points system before. Thanks again ladies for your help.

Small changes to your diet can do wonders for your health! Simply eat more fruit and veggies and less processed food. You can also reduce your sodium intake and that will help you absorb water better. Eating healthy is always good for pregnancy. Good luck!

Exercise is totally fine when you're pregnant especially if you did it before you were pregnant. If it were me, I would jump right in with the exercise/eating healthy and try to get pregnant. I had a girlfriend who was pretty overweight. She got pregnant and totally changed her lifestyle to be healthy for the baby....she ended up only gaining 10 or 15 lbs TOTAL for her whole pregnancy because she was losing weight at the same time. Now I do have to emphasize, she was NOT starving herself. She just cut out sodas and fast food and beer and for her, she lost major weight. Her doctor was completely on board because she was getting plenty of calories and putting good food in her body. Also, for her, she hadn't exercised before pregnancy, so she just started and stuck with a walking program and nothing else. I think you can both be pregnant and get healthier if you do it right...nothing crazy, no crazy pills, no workouts until exhaustion or overheating. We'll help you through it!

There is absolutely no reason that you can't try to get healthy and continue TTC. It is best to start an exercise routine before getting pregnant and then continue with it during your pregnancy. Unfortunately I was exercising and eating extremely healthy during my last pregnancy (I had lost about 30 lbs) and then when I miscarried, I just couldn't bring myself to continue exercising and I turned to food for comfort, so I have put some of the weight back on. I really need to get back in the routine of exercising every day. Start off with something simple and build as your indurance increases. There are lots of fitness classes geared to pregnant women, so when you do get pregnant, if you have already been exercising up to that point, you could enroll in one of those classes.
As far as yesterday, I agree with another poster that it could have been dehydration, make sure you are getting plenty of water every day...important now and especially important when you get pregnant.

Thanks so much ladies. I am going to start walking on my treadmill in the morning. I have drank 2 bottles and a sixteen ounce cup of water today. I had a little bit of mello yello but not much. I have ate like a pig today though. I didnt eat much yesturday because of being sick so I think I made up for it today.

i hope you are feeling better and good luck with your walking and eating healthy plan. Another tip. Grab a note book and write down what you eat... im a total nutter for after dinner snacking but i couldn't remember eating x, y and z so didn't understand why i was putting on weight (i know, sounds silly lol) but writing down everything you eat and drink makes it easy to pinpoint what you should be leaving out
good luck and i hope you get your bfp really soon, and I hope you are feeling better

Thanks so much for the advice. My sister also use to write down what she ate and it helped her alot. I am feeling better. My head ache went away after taking an excedrine miagrain pill that my sister gave me. I havent felt sick to my stomach any and I have ate like a pig. but I still cant go outside in the heat for long because I start feeling sick again.

I've lost around 15lbs since the car accident, and it's mostly because I'm eating healthier things (because the junk food at night doesn't excite me anymore) and water is easier to get in my house than a pop. With the water cooler right next to the kitchen table! I've gotten lazy, and won't bend down to pick anything up now, including a can of soda, so the glass and water cooler have become my friend!
Walking is the easiest thing, get a friend on your street or hook up your iPod and start moving!
Just don't stress out about the scale!!! Muscle weighs more than fat, so if your legs are getting toned, but you have love handles (which there's nothing wrong with!) it doesn't mean you're not losing weight and getting healthier!
Good luck girl!!! The food journal is a great way to keep track of everything too!!! There's a Mommy Weightloss board here on JM if you scroll down a little bit!
