i'm very sorry for your loss.
My m/c occured just after I turned 36 (also my first pregnancy), and when I called my OB to let them know I was pregnant again (i'll be 37 at time of delivery), they confirmed they would not be monitoring as a high risk pregnancy (first u/s was at 8wks, standard for this OB's office) absent a specific problem during the pregnancy. Assuming you have no other complications (other than age) you will likely get some additional monitoring in the 12-20wk stage simply due to your advanced age status. My OB sent me to a perinatologist for the NT screen, genetic counseling and I'll have one additional 20wk u/s with the perinatologist....assuming everything is normal, he'll then discharge me unless/until I have any other complications.
The irony about m/c loss when you're our age is that the OB's are actually less concerned about it than if we were younger because the m/c rates are slighly higher for our age group. I think if you've had multiple m/c then they might monitor you more closely in the early weeks - checking your levels, etc. to see if there's a hormonal or blood clotting issue that could be interfering with the pregnancy.
Good luck to you as you TTC again...do take some time to heal emotionally and physically, you'll find a ton of support on this board.
