I don't know how much i can depend on my temps but from everything i've always learned, your temps go down when you're about to miscarry or are doing so. The past couple days they were decreasing but today it went back up. It's very frustrating to me. I took an IC because i wanted to make sure the line had faded. I figured it would at least fade some since my betas were 0 on Saturday but nope! It's darker than any of my other ICs, even the one i took on the day i got a + digital. I'm not sure how much i can rely on tests but i've always heard people talk about them fading not getting even darker. I know it takes longer for HCG to leave your urine than your bloodstream but why would it be increasing? I just want this to be over already and am afraid my body is not doing what it needs to do to miscarry. I had some brown spotting yesterday but that was it. I have a little brown today too but am still waiting to actually bleed. Anyone been through something similar or have any advice?

It sometimes takes awhile for your numbers to drop but I don't think they should be rising at all. I would go to your doctor or another doctor and get a second opinion.

I would ask for an u/s to ease your mind. Perhaps you had 2 eggs implant and one was a little later than the other. Now you could have lost one but not the other and that is why your levels are going up. I think you were pretty early on in your pregnancy for this to be a possibility. Stranger things have happened.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that there is a little bean in there!!!

I already had an u/s around 4 weeks and 3 days and they said it was too early to see anything. I'm afraid to go to another doctor because i really don't want to get my hopes up thinking there might still be a chance.

This time the ultrasound would be to make sure everything is passing as it should. I would suggest a doctors visit as well. Even if it is just to get things started wtih the m/c. Some people don't miscarry naturally and require a D&C. I hope this is not the case for you but I would see someone to make sure.

Just lurking but I use to belong to this board.
How long has it been since your loss?
I had an ectopic pg in late 2007 and went to the OB 8 weeks later b/c I still had not had AF yet. Lo and behold I was already pg AGAIN! We only dtd one time and that is how we got DS.
Since your levels were 0 you should not be getting a + HPT at this point. Not saying you are PG but you should see your doc just to get things checked out.

With your blood being 0 on Saturday, and your IC's being even darker today than last week, something does not add up. There could be whole range of issues here. Too many to guess at. You really need to go back to the dr and show him your ic and see if they will do another blood draw. This needs to be managed very closely, I know you said that the dr did not see anything in your tubes lat week, but it might of been to early for that too. Blood draw and repeat u/s should be ordered at this point. I know you were not that far along, and the baby might not of attached very long to your uteris, but your IC's should not be getting darker, that is a concern, KUP. I hope they find answers very quickly.

It was just last week that i found out i was m/c, Saturday was the day i got my beta results back as 0. At this point i could order another blood test or set an appointment to go to the doctor. I'm not sure which i should do.

Even if you aren't miscarrying yet, you can go get checked out and be given medication to get things started. The medication is still considered "natural", it just causes your cervix to soften and then your uterus to cramp, which will expel anything that is still there. You don't want to wait too long to find out what is going on because you could have a molar pregnancy or a blighted ovum (both pretty rare). There is nothing wrong with asking for another ultrasound to be sure. Most of the time, when you are diagnosed with a miscarriage and they can't see anything on the ultrasound, they ask you to come back in a week to see if there are any changes.
In my situation, I miscarried very early (4/5 weeks along) but my body didn't alert me until around 8 weeks. I just started bleeding and freaked out and went to the ER. Thats when I found out, and even though I was bleeding heavily they wanted me to see my midwife in a week for another ultrasound to confirm. Thats whats called a "missed miscarriage".
There is also the option that someone else brought up - you could have just lost one baby when two implanted.
Or - in my DDC, there was a woman (and I love this story and think about it often to keep my TTC hopes up after my loss) who went through VERY slowly climbing beta's, had been told she was losing her baby. Then she went in for the d&c and they did just one more ultrasound...and wouldn't you know, there was her little bean's heart beating away.
I would go for that second opinion, it doesn't take long to do an ultrasound and if you want to get things moving they can prescribe the medication to start the process. Then you can begin to get some closure for you and DH.
I am so sorry you have to go through this....the waiting part is so frustrating. I miscarried for an ENTIRE month because I was so adamant about going for a natural m/c as opposed to a D&C. I hope you get some answers soon though.

I am so sorry you are going through this Krista. I would request more blood work because it could have been an error in the reading of your original bloodwork from Saturday. My miscarriage in December involved a drop in betas. I went from 274 to 255 over two days. Two days after my betas were 255, I began to bleed (for 2 weeks). Also, my FRERs were getting lighter each day. I'm not trying to get your hopes up, but you might want to check with an OB about this discrepancy between the darker tests, the betas at 0, and the lack of bleeding. Good luck sweetie, I hope you get some answers soon.

I definitely agree with calling your doc and setting up an appointment. You need to see what's going on, just incase the tissue hasn't passed completely. OR to see if what Trish said is true, which it could easily be!!

I'm so sorry to hear that you are struggling with "something"! I must be out of the loop because I only saw your BFP post. Anyway, for what it's worth...for me, the first time I was pregnant, my tests definitely started getting lighter and then disappeared within a day or 2 or when the Dr. told me the they couldn't detect anything (on my early loss). On my second loss, I kept popping positive tests for quite a few weeks but my levels had previously been very high and it took a while for it to get out of my system.
Soo.....yes....it's wierd that anything is showing up if your numbers are 0. There is a missing piece of the puzzle. I'm glad you scheduled a visit...KUP!
