Looks like I'll be joining you girls. My name is Kelly and I was supposed to be due on January 10. But my little bean had a low heartbeat last week and no heartbeat at all yesterday. I am 9w2d but the baby was only measuring six weeks. I knew it was measuring behind, so I can't say this result is totally unexpected, but it's still a hard blow to take.
I am having a D&C done tomorrow. I just want this over with. I've never had general anesthesia before, so I'm pretty nervous. Wish me luck, please! At least it sounds like a pretty quick recovery time. I hope my cycles don't get too out of whack after this. I had very regular 29-day cycles before.
As much as I want to start trying again right away, I kind of feel like we should wait until after our 15-day trip to Japan in August. I don't want to worry about whether my beta levels are okay, or have morning sickness, in a foreign country (even though I used to live there and it's not *that* foreign to me). So most likely we'll be NTNP this summer.

Welcome Kelly - sorry to hear about your loss. This is one club that you really don't want to belong to...but unfortunately so many of us do.  Hope your D&C goes well and good luck ttc again when you are ready. We are here for you!

Kelly, I am so sorry for your loss...We hate to welcome people to the board, since you have to go through such a horriable thing to get here. Welcome.
Your story sounds like mine, I had the same thing happen on Jan 22 we had a slow hb, and on the 29th it was gone... I had a d/e on Fef 6th. It was very easy. I went in, in the am and was home by 3. I had no bleeding/cramps/or pain. I even called the Dr the next morning since I only had spotting at the hospital. And was scared that I was retaining something since I wasn't bleeding/spotting. It took me 35 days for AF to return.. I was always like clockwork 28 day cycle. The last 2 months I was 31 days.. and it looks like this cycle might be 29 days.. we will wait and see. Kelly - as the others have said we always hate welcoming new members - no one should have to go through this hurt.
I am sorry you are having to go through all of this and there is really nothing anyone can say to make it better - except that we are here for you - no matter what you are feeling or dealing with.

I'm sorry for your loss. I'm sure you'll be fine having the d&c. For me the d&C was hard emotionally as I was going into theatre but like you, I just needed to take charge and have it be over.

Welcome, and just wanted to let you know how sorry I am for your loss. I recovered very quickly after my d&c in April and have 3 cycles already. Used to be 28 days, now Im 29. So nothing too different. First cycle was extremely heavy, but now back to normal. I hope you start to recover from this physically and emotionally. I was also 9.5wks and the baby measured at 8wks when she passed.

i'm so sorry for your loss. I had a natural m/c and my cycles since have been longer by 4/5 days but have been regular (went from 24days to 28/29 days). Hope you have a quick recovery and get your sticky bean very very soon!
