Well the Dr rang and spoke to DH he said the sperm count was good but there was 1% Higher abnormalities found apparently it's usually 69% but instead was 70% I was wondering does anyone know what this means?? I will be calling first thing tomorrow to find out more but until then I will probably go mad I love how he said you have 2 healthy children I am so sick of ppl saying that

hmmm not sure hun... does google show anything? I don't understand my dh's results either.. or really any of mine. you wouldn't think 1% would make too much of a difference - but I guess you just never know with these things

Sorry Charm, I have no idea. Have you tried google? I would definitely call back first thing though. Guys just don't ask the same questions we would!
Having 2 healthy children doesn't mean you don't long for another.

Charm, I don't know, but 1% higher doesn't really sound like it's that much more. However, if you really wanted to be aggressive and have some mediccal intervention the dr. could do a IUI where they 'wash' the spermies (I think that's what it's called). So only the healthy ones are left over for insamination. My SIL had that done with her IVF. I'm sure it's not cheap, but that would be something to consider.
Yeah, I wish people just wouldn't say anything. HUGS!

Abnormalities are normal in sperm, 1% higher isn't a big deal, and could change in his next sample. Abnormal sperm should not be able to fertilize and egg, so don't worry about it causing a higher risk. Washing can eliminate some of the abnormals and non mobile sperm.

I agree with Trish - I'm not sure I know much about it, but 1% doesn't sound like much.

look at it this way, the produce about 2 million sperm each time the ejaculate, so what is 1% of two million. Very very slim chance...
Sorry, it's been a long day and i far to tired to do the math....
