Hi everyone,
It is coming up to 4 weeks since my D&C so I am hoping that I am lucky and my cycles go back to normal length fairly quickly.
I know everyone is different but I don't know what to expect. I had some cramps and period like pain on Monday but nothing really since.
Last night I noticed my boobs have become really round and firm again (they never returned to normal size but they lost their shape). They are quite sore as well and really veiny like when I was pg.
I highly doubt I am pg again (I took a test a couple of weeks ago to make sure my hormone levels were down and it was negative so they must be). Just wondering if anyone has had their body do this before AF? I usually get sore bbs but they don't change shape.
Thanks for listening!

Hi, sorry for your losses. After my 1st D&C it took 35 days and i just got AF after my 2nd D&C and it took 31 days. I had PMS symptoms for weeks both times. You can get pregnant again before you even have AF so it is possible. My dr. and a bunch of the ladies here told me that it could take as long as 7 weeks to get AF after a mc so dont get too worried if it hasnt come yet. Good luck to you.

Sorry I don't know about the BB symptoms, but I will say 1. Yes you can get pregnant right after a D&C, we conceived about 16 days after. And 2. AF coming after D&C could take 4-8 weeks, I am at 5 weeks and waiting, I had some spotting a few days ago, but I am not certain that was AF

Your body can do strange things after a m/c and your symptoms can also change after each pregnancy and even with age. So it is possible that your bbs being full and sore is a sign that AF is going to show up soon and it is also possible that you are pg. I'm hoping you are pg again!!!

I had my D&C on April 26th. I'm still waiting for AF. I had some spotting early last week, but it wasn't even enough to fill one tampon (sorry TMI). So now I'm at 52 days and counting and it royally blows lol.

Thanks everyone. I know it can take 6-8 weeks (sometimes longer) for AF to return but I am hoping I don't have to wait too long. The only time I will be urging AF to hurry up!
I had a laposcropy in Feb and had my tubes flushed etc and it only took 5 weeks for AF to return so hoping it is around then or sooner.
I don't know what to think, I got a shock last night when I saw my bbs were so much rounder and fuller and really veiny again.
Not going to read too much into though, after all my body has tricked me time and time again!

First off I'm praying that your pg again Secondly my AF didn't arrive for over 8 weeks after my D&C they had to put me on medicine to get it. I hope you don't have to worry about that though!

Thanks Shortcake. It's funny but I think this will be the only time when I won't be upset to get AF. I'll just know that my body isn't ready.
I am just a really impatient person!!!

I'm currently waiting for my first AF after my second D&C. It's been 6 weeks. I got my first AF after my first D&C at 7 weeks. Let me tell you - that was a messed up cycle! I had a lot of spotting and cramping and felt just like I was pregnant for about a week before she arrived! So really - anything can happen. Some women do get pregnant before the next AF and go on to have healthy babies. Some just take a long time to get AF, and others get there's quickly. Like you said, there's no normal. I hope AF arrives for you soon. Good luck.

I didn't have a D&C, I had a natural m/c, but it took about 6 weeks for AF to return. I have read many stories of women getting pg. even before their next period (which makes sense since Oing causes AF).
I also noticed after my m/c that AF was really weird, for months...the cramping was worse, and the flow was really heavy and I was PMSing really bad, which wasn't that bad before I m/c. I think that if your not pg, it's your body trying to get back to normal in it's own weird way. I hope AF shows soon for you!

Thaks ladies. After my natural m/c my period pretty much returned to normal time (give or take a few days) but since my first loss AF has only ever lasted a day or 2. Even after my D&C I only bled for a few hours (and not very much) and have had nothing since.
I know everyone is different and it could take longer but I just hate waiting. I don't think I am pg at all, think it is just my body trying to return to normal. Whatever normal is!

every time I have a mc. Whether I have a D&C or not. my PMS symptoms change. It's really weird I know. But for a while I would always get sore boobs before my period. But after one of my miscarriages that hasn't happened again. Something changes each time.

My periods took a long time to come back, 3 cycles were between 41-45days and this cycle I'm finally back in the low 30s. I didn't think it would ever get back to 'normal'. It does blow!!
EDIT:: -- my cycles were normally 26days so even in the 30's it's high for me.

For me, it took 43 days for AF to show up after the D&C. I understand how frustrating it can be.
I hope you get either AF or a BFP soon!
