Newbie, losing my baby bean now...

Hello everyone!! My name is Crystal and DH is Morgan. I am new to this board but I am not new to JM. I have been active in the TTC#1 board for a few months.
Here is my story in a nutshell:
DH and I decided to start TTC in May. We got a BFP at the beginning of this month! Yep, after our first month trying!
We were SO EXCITED!! Two days after we got our BFP, I started bleeding. It got really heavy and I went to the ER.
Two days later I went back for more bloodwork and they said I was still pregnant and not sure why I was bleeding.
For the last 3 weeks I have been in and out of the doctors office getting exams and bloodwork done. They finally found out that I am experiencing an ectopic pregnancy.
Yesterday, I went in and got injections of methotrexate. By next Friday, I will have passed the baby.

DH and I will be ready to TTC as SOON as we can again. The doc said we need to wait for one normal cycle and then we can TTC again.
I am wondering...how long did you wait after your loss before you TTC again??
Any tips or info I should know??

firstly Crystal... im so sorry you have to be here. You have however found the most amazing group of women.

I have had 2 m/c's while actively ttc. I had one back in July 08 but that one ended with a d&c. I had to wait one whole cycle before ttc again. The next one in Jan 09 was a "natural" m/c. with that one we didnt' have to wait at all and we started ttc straight away.. and we are still trying.

I hope once you do start ttc again that you fall as quickly as you did last time. best of luck

Crystal, I'm so sorry for your loss.

I think your doctor's suggestion of waiting one month is a good idea. Once you're ready to start trying again, I hope you get your sticky BFP quickly.

I am so sorry for your loss, I don't have any tips b/c everyone is different, but I wish you the best in your TTC journey and welcome you here.

Sorry that you have had to join us. Since you have had to have medical intervention, and your doctor is telling you only one cycle, I would follow his advise, since it seems sound, but of course the decision is up to you! Hope your TTCAL journey is a short one! None of us want to be here, but you couldn't ask for a nicer or more supportive group of women!

Hi Crystal, Sorry that you have find our board. I have seen your post on the TTC one and my heart goes out to you that you are joining us. My best advice is to listen to what your body is telling you. It your feeling great and ready to TTC again in next cycle go for it. If not let your body and soul rest and recovery from everything. You are the best judge of what is good for you.

Myself it took almost 8 months jump on the TTC train again. But each person is different.

I wish you the best of luck in your recovery, and you have found a great bunch of ladies for support. Big hugs, thinking of you and keeping you and your DH in my thoughts and prayers today.

so sorry to hear about your loss. i experienced my first bfp after just one month of trying too and was so excited!! Unfortunatly here I am. I waited one cycle before ttc again...I think you just have to do what you feel is right! Good Luck!

So sorry to hear about your loss! This is a wonderful board though. After my second loss, I ended up waiting 7 or 8 months....but that was my decision not my doctors. My doctor said I was good to try again right away.

Thank you all for being so kind. I think after one cycle we will TTC again. This has been a long 3 or so weeks...and I am just ready to move on. So, after one cycle I know we will be ready to try again. I am actually ready NOW. LOL But my body isn't. I still have two more doctor visits next week to check my hcg level. By Friday my level should be negative.

Hi Crystal and Welcome.With my first loss I waited 3 months before TTC again and got pregnant right away and went on to have a healthy baby.Second time was recent.I had a d&c May 12th and we did not wait to TTC,I still have not started my period nor have I gotten a BFP.Good Luck and I'm sorry for your loss.

So sorry about your loss. Dh and I waited one cycle with our first miscarraige but this time we didn't wait as it was such an early one. Im not sure about an eptopic though. I would wait at least one cycle but than again if your body is ready to be pregnant than it could. Its totally up to you.

Hi Crystal - I am sorry you are going through this. I wish there was more that I could say or do to make it better!! HUGS!!! It is really up to you on how long you wait before ttc again. As long as you are emotionally and physically ready, there is no reason why you should wait. Good luck!!!
